Great Drop Shot RodI think a lot of drop rods are too stiff and I wanted something that had a slight bend to it and this is it. Super light. It doesn’t feel like an inshore rod to me. Paired it with a Daiwa Fuego 2500 spinning reel.

You guys buy it, but no reviews….Alright so I keep seeing this rod being purchased over and over again but no one has written a review on it so I’ll give you guys a quick one so y’all know what you’re getting: This rod is straight up a 8.5/10. Very solid rod for the price! I use it here in Southern California fishing for spotted bay bass and it works wonders for finesse techniques. I use the 7’ ML “Regular” taper. This is just fancy talk for Medium Light powered Moderate Fast action. Daiwa’s “regular” literally means moderate fast, so expect a deeper bend and more give in your rod. This is a good or bad thing depending on your circumstances but it’s great for finesse techniques. Drop shot and ned rig have been absolutely solid for me. And before you ask, YES, this rod absolutely works for regular Largemouth bass as well. Just be prepared to use more of your drag as the rod bends deeper into the blank. So overall: Casting distance: 8/10 Sensitivity: 8/10 Power: 7.5/10 (little in the lighter side) Weight: 8.5/10 Balance: 8/10 Action: 8/10 Overall a very solid inshore and freshwater rod for the price! It’s no wonder these keep being bought up all the time, I just don’t get why no one writes reviews for this awesome underrated rod.
