Overview

Split rings are the easiest and most effective way of securing hooks to a lure. The Danielson Stainless Steel Split Rings will do the job effectively for a very low price. With split rings, the larger the number the larger the ring. Try number 3 or 4 for securing treble hooks to Hard Baits and for tying on the line.

Previous Feedback

Comments: There are most definitely better split rings on the market but these are like 20-30 cents a piece and a option for the angler on a budget. Caught plenty of nice striped bass from the surf but changed the rings out more frequently and washed the lure after each use carefully. If you expect to hook some large fish like 20-30lbs don't cheap it out on the rings but however spending a bunch on high grade rings for the local pond largemouths can be overkill. Most expensive isn't always the best value

Comments: Danielson swivels are OK but their split rings are at the bottom of the heap.  However, their price is in line with the quality so any purchase is not really a rip off.  Try either Owner Hyper Wire or especially Worth split rings if you can find them.  They are both at the opposite end of the spectrum from Danielson.

Comments: Even for small lures these split ring are not an option. They are barely better then the average  split ring you get on chinese knock-out.

From: James: Merrero, LA

Comments: These might be ok for putting on cheaper crankbaits, but these are definitely not an option for any swimbait application in my mind. Go with the Owner Hyperwire split rings for any application, even crankbait split rings. The Danielsons stayed open after I put them over the hook hanger, which could allow for a hook to come off the bait.
