Designed to improve the performance of your lures, as well as, your efficiency on the water, the Decoy V Snap delivers a dependable connection that gives anglers the freedom to switch out baits on the fly. Built with a special V-shaped construction, the Decoy V Snap is designed to allow the bait to sit at the bottom of the V, so the angler has complete control over the motion of the bait. A great replacement for traditional split rings, the Decoy V Snap provides a performance-enhancing design that stands head and shoulders above other hardware.

The only snap I useDecoy VSnap is the only snap I use for 3 years now: it’s tiny and incredibly strong! Size 0 for perch & trout on ML setup. Size 1-2 for Medum setups: zander, light pike setup. Size 3 reliability can be used for bigbait pike spinning - it’s so strong, I want to use pliers too change the lure. Size 0-2 very seldom do open up if you bend it too much: but I’ve never lost a lure or fish because of that. Nothing is foolproof, just bend the closing arm open if it has deformed. Snaps Do not rust in saltwater either. I wish there were sizes 00 and 4.
I keep buying themOccasionally a fish bites one open, but the size 1 has landed plenty of slot snook and redfish, and held while an 80 pound tarpon towed my kayak around Florida Bay for 23 minutes. I normally use size 0 for saltwater flyfishing, tied on the tippet with a Palomar knot.
ONLY SNAPS I USELove all the decoy products I've bought, great company with outstanding quality control. The smaller Gan Craft Claws (size 70-148) all come with varying sizes of this snap and I've been so happy with them I've bought all the sizes and use them for everything from tiny trout cranks all the way up to Drt Klash 9's. They get the job done and I've never had one fail on me. Love these.
this is the one!love, love, love these snaps have used them for 3 plus years.
Don't buy it.I used it this morning (a brand new Size 1). I threw a 3/8oz popper. I was popping it, and suddenly, I didn't feel the weight of the popper. I reeled in, and found that the snap opened. I know for sure, it wasn't open, when I put the popper on it. I won't use it again.

Comments: I decided to try these in size 1 (34lb) so far I'm disappointed and won't be using them anymore. I've has two of them straighten out while bass fishing in MN.

Comments: These snaps are great never had one open up on me. I use size 0 for trout and have caught trout over 10 pounds on them and catfish to 30 lbs when it ate my Keitech. Snap Held with no problem.

Comments: These are really nice snaps. I have them in size 1. I use them for all of my cranking rods. I don't use these for heavy cover/flipping and frogging. I use heavier wire quick snaps for that. But these are awesome quick snaps for cranking. I have never had one open up.

Comments: I got those snaps in size 0 (30 lbs) without checking on their physical size. They are TINY. Decoy's reputation is good so I have faith in the weight rating but these are just hilariously small. I've only used one so far and it's been fine. If I need more I'll buy size 3 (45 lb)
