Comments: *Update* After testing and looking this lure over I have a few observations. The $50.00 price tag is or has to be for the plopper blade because it's the only sturdy part on this lure. The line tie is as small and thin as they come. The split rings are thin and flimsy, removing them and replacing them with thick rings is a must. The quad hook seems thin and the swiveling feature makes that joint very thin also. The plastic molded body is standard and the Shad I have has very little paint details. No painted side fins at all. The plopper is strong and tough. but I took the rear hook off the bait and put two thick split rings on the front hook. The plopper gets stuck in the blade time and time again, so off it came. The extra split ring on the quad hook, extends that hooks ability to catch most striking fish. Bottom line..you're paying for cheap hard wear and an expensive plopper blade.

Comments: I bought the sexy shad pattern. Right away the rear hook gets tangled up with the prop. i applied two more split rings on the back hook holder which seems to help some. $50.00 bucks is a lot to pay for a bait that does this!

Comments: I'm a big fan of Deps Buzzjets and Balisongs. However, after watching a buddy work one of these and looking it over, I'm passing. This is within the price range for hand made and painted wooden or resin baits in these sizes, rather than mass produced and molded plastic lures. The difference between the mid-twenties and over 50 bucks range is an awful lot. I use and really like Ryugi rings, but even buying them at TW retail isn't very expensive.

Comments: Beautiful bait. Well made, but way over priced @ $50 ea. I like the ease of casting and the unique sound the prop makes. I was disappointed in the way the body turns on its side at faster retrieves. I've only fished the bait once after a cold front and was unable to get a bite. I'm excited to catch a fish with this Deps bait and will keep trying this fall.
