Don't Know Why, but It Catches FishI love floating jerkbaits in general, so I bought this a couple of weeks ago, knowing it's not the best time to throw jerkbaits. It's super hot lately. About a week ago, it was too hot to fish, and I was about to go home. Then, I realized that I haven't tried this new jerkbait yet. So, I just started throwing it just to see how it moves. Within a few cast, I caught a bass. I didn't even expect any bite. This morning, I used it again, and I hooked a 6 pounder, which got loose, right in front of me. One of the front hooks was bent. But, I tell you the stock hooks aren't bad at all. It's at least as strong as Owner ST36. A few casts later, I caught a 2 pounder. I really don't know why this thing gets bites. It does cast very well, but it doesn't move any better than OSP Varuna or Vision 110. Raid Japan Level Minnow darts better (to me and maybe, not to fish?). I just ordered one more, and a suspending one. Because TW carries only one color, I ordered a different color on eBay. After used it only a few times, I can tell this is something special. I mean the jerkbait bites kind of died by the end of May, and I didn't catch many fish on jerkbaits in June. Now, it's July, and in the middle of heat wave, it gets bites in limited time. That's something. Update 10/18: This is my follow up. Right after my review, I caught 20lbs of fish, three fish in five casts. It kept catching through the summer and the fall. I've been using jerkbatis, since the late 1970s, and this is definitely one of a kind. I still don't know why it keeps catching fish, but it does. I still haven't caught a fish with the suspended version, the same color. Only the floater catches fish.
