Overview
Be proactive and not reactive with Durasafe E-Locks. With theft and burglary of boat equipment on the rise, boat owners have to rethink their usual hiding spots. Marine electronics are an expensive investment for boaters and an easy target for thieves – just unscrew the knobs, unplug the cords, and walk away. In a matter of seconds your electronics are gone, including all your waypoint data as well. The Durasafe E-Locks leave thieves no other alternative but to move on.
The Durasafe E-Locks fits into most bracket-mounted electronics and are keyed-alike so anglers can use one set of keys for up to 4 locks. The universal design of the Durasafe E-Locks make them incredibly easy-to-install. Simply unscrew your factory knobs, insert the correlating screw and washer (included) into the back portion of the lock, secure it into the bracket, lock the front part portion of the Durasafe E-Lock in place – and that’s it.

Comments: All this does is lock your graph to the gimbal mount bracket. This provides no protection against unscrewing the bracket with a simple screwdriver or drill.

Comments: Bought one of these for my Lowrance HDS 12, The shell of the lock is thin plastic, and within two days of Lake St Clair the lock backed off and fell off. When I talked to my buddy about them, he send me a video of him ripping his off with a pair of channel locks and a snap of the wrist. I think this product is way overpriced, and anyone that has a screwdriver and a desire to steal your $1000+ fishfinder will succeed in a couple of minutes flat. Not Impressed.
