Overview
The world’s first situational braid, the FINS Windtamer Braid Line Pitch Black is a premium 100% spectra braid that performs incredibly well in whipping winds. Engineered with a proprietary treatment process, the FINS Windtamer Braid Line Pitch Black produces a round, smooth structure that compacts very well on reels without digging into itself. This condensed form helps reduce backlashes, wind knots, and rod tip wrapping, especially in gusty conditions.
Perfect for freshwater and saltwater applications, the FINS Windtamer Braid Line Pitch Black delivers outstanding knot strength and increased fray resistance that stands-up to big bass and inshore species alike. Performing all of the tasks of traditional braid, and then some, the FINS Windtamer Braid Line Pitch Black delivers a specialized construction that goes above-and-beyond when the wind kicks-up.

Comments: I purchased the 10# pitch black for a spinning reel. Been very impressed with the performance. The line doesn't fade and casts extremely smooth. I would purchase this line again good price and performance.

Comments: I've now got this on two reels - 50lb on the frog rod and 40lb on the c-rig rod (main line). Zero complaints. It's not bleeding, nor fading, the casting distance seems better than average, durability is great, and two passes thru the hook eye, then an 8 wrap uni knot seals the deal for an easy tie that doesn't slip The price is already creeping up, though, so I'm glad I don't re-spool braid often.

Comments: FINS Windtamer Line is a great braid to use. It performs just as well, maybe better, than any other braided line I've used. I usually don't care for aesthetics for things like this, but the deep black colored line looks nice. Compared to other colored lines from other brands, I'm thinking it won't lose it's color anytime soon. I use FINS braid for saltwater fishing. I've committed to their brand of braided line for the past few years or so, and I don't see myself using any other brand for awhile.

Comments: Bought 10lb w/ mixed results with this braid. Did great on my baitcaster, absolute garbage on my spinning rig. Line twist was a really big issue. I'm not sure it "tames wind", it seems to behave like other braids I have used. It doesn't really stand out in this market so I probably won't try this braid again in the future.

Comments: I've been using this braid for about 4 months. primarily 65lb test when frog fishing. I'm very happy with it. It's smooth casting, strong, does not fade at all it stays black. It's comparable to the other top braids i have used over the years.

Comments: Hands down my go-to braid. Casts a mile (even in the wind), stays black and is extremely durable. You won't be disappointed with Pitch Black.

Comments: This is really good braid...I use the 10lb with a 7lb sunline fc sniper leader....I have it on my stradic ci4+ and my new vanford....hands down the best braid I've used and I've tried em all. Its not that expensive and so far I've caught little bluegills all the way up to 14 lb catfish. Try it and you'll love it.

Comments: I had 45lb FINS windtamer spooled up and somehow managed to get Dirty Jigs Flippin jig snagged (pretty stout hook). took a stick, wrapped the line around it and attempted to pull until the line broke. Arms started getting tired so I stood and started kinda leaning back into it. I bent the flippin jig hook out, but the line held. I was pretty impressed with this line. (palomar knot, if you're wondering).

Comments: Best line on the market. No more need for using a black marker to color line fading.

Comments: I got 10lb for my stradic ci4 . Love this braid. Paired it with sunline for a leader and I must say it works great. Accidentally caught a few bigger fish then I was targeting and it was wonderful.

Comments: Great line. Thrown it for a while now. ZERO fade on the color, no break offs. I've used this for snook, tarpon, bass and basically everything fish in Florida that is down-right rugged. I've used Power Pro, Daiwa, Sufix, Stren, and a whole other slew of lines. These have all fallen short to this line. The ONLY COMPLAINT I have is it is loud. That's the only thing bad about this line however, other then that, down right dirty.

Comments: Bought this 65lb black braid to try out for froggin. Has high reviews online but I won't buy again. Broke off on me 3 times, lost 2 buzzbaits also beacuse of it. Has a small diameter so maybe thats why. Maybe I ended up with a bad spool. No confidence in this line.

Comments: This line is legit! I've tried many of the top brands of braid and I must admit, this line does as advertised! I was throwing the 50lb. Braid with a buzz bait, which as most of us know, tends to wrap around the tip or backlash, due to the resistance of a buzzbait.I didn't have one issue with this line! So far, the color appears durable and the knot strength is great! I'm very impressed so far! If it holds up, I'll be converting all of my braid rods to this line. Good job!
