Comments: Great rod! I purchased the 6'8" medium, paired it with a Lews LFS, and tested it with 12lb sufix pro mix mono. Rigged up a mojo rig (finesse Carolina rig) and caught 13 bass in a local pond. Rod handled great. It might a be a hair beefier than a standard medium power rod. I would say it's between most medium and medium heavies. The moderate fast action rating seems spot on. Guides, reel seat, and handles are good quality. Overall it's light, well balanced, comfortable, and sensitivity wise is as good as anything I've ever used up to the $120 range. Falcon has made an excellent all around rod. If I had $100 to spend, this hands down would be the rod I would get.

Comments: Everyone keeps saying they are great for the money. However I'll say my 6'8 mediums are great at any price for what I use them for. They excel with Jerkbaits, square bill, medium divers, walking baits, poppers, and even used them for small buzzbaits. You seriously can't get much better moving bait rod period. They load well and keep treble hooks pinned as well as any $250 rod I've owned. Excellent work Falcon with maybe best "budget" rod ever designed.

Comments: I own 4 HD rods. 6'8 med, 7' med casting and spinning, and a 7' mh. All of these rods have been perfect and for the money there isn't anything better imo. I find myself using these rods more so that I don't beat up my G.Loomis rods.

Comments: Thoroughly happy with both of the HDs I've purchased. Having a Mike McClelland signature Cara, I knew falcon made a top notch rod, I just didn't realize the HDs would be the stars. The 7m - mod. is a small crankbait handling machine. Light weight plugs (bandit 200 #6 shad raps, small yellow magic poppers) are cast with ease. Soft, forgiving tip. The 7MH - mod. is one of the most useful rods I've got. Good moving bait rod. Soft enough for plugs with 10-12# line or enough backbone to switch to 16-20# for chatterbaits/spinnerbaits. Some may disagree but I like throwing 1/4oz. & 3/8oz. buzzbaits on it too. Thinking of adding the 7 H model for froggin and flippin. Great rods for the money spent!

Comments: have been a Falcon Fan for over 25years. Have always been a CARA Fan but They changed them. So I tried the HD Rods. They have been fantastic. A Tad heavy but they hold up to me which means they are very durable. For the Price you can not beat them

Comments: These rods are nice, they stand the test of time too. The only gripe I have with falcon as a company is that, too many of their models don't have enough rod specifications to fill up an arsenal. I love the HD series and would love to see more spec options

Comments: Just caught my PB, a 7-lber, on a swim jig and this rod handled it like a charm. A great tip for casting jigs under overhangs and docks, perfect for reaction baits. Not the most sensitive rod out there, but for $70 a great way to either get into baistcasting or expand your arsenal for moving baits on the cheap.

Comments: Bought this rod in MH 7' for a topwater rod. Had it for over a year and just recently landed a 7.25 Largemouth on a Pop R. Rod performed flawlessly keeping the trebles pinned up with the moderate fast tip. Great rod for the price. Cork handles are awesome and it balances well.

Comments: I have the 6'8" medium for jerkbaits , best $70 rod I've ever used. Fuji reel seat, Fuji guides, well balanced. I own higher priced rods St Croix, Shimano, etc., this Falcon $70 rod is just as good at less than half the price in some cases.

Comments: I have just recently received my 6'8" med falcon hd, out of the box review. It is extremely well balanced and feels insane for the price, I use this rod for poppers and jerkbaits with 12lb copolymer and it works extremely well, really good feeling build quality with a flawlessly rolled blank, it looks fantastic and acts fantastic, falcon is a very nice brand and continues to impress me with this rod. I would highly recommend this rod for anyone looking for a good quality low budget jerkbait/topwater stick, this rod is awesome for the price.

Comments: 10 fuji guides, Fuji reel seat good blank balances well. 7ft med mod. I use it inshore for everything would be a great small moving bait rod for the bass guys. The rod should be 100$ period. I beat the snot out of mine and it's alot of fun to fish. Tackle warehouse rocks!

Comments: I bought a falcon rod about a month ago and I've been fishing the heck out of it. It is a 7'6 medium heavy kinda an all around rod. I found that the action is a little slow so I've started only using moving baits on it such as chatterbait, spinnerbait, some swimbaits, and even swim jigs. It is a very light and comfortable rod and for the money I don't see how you could beat it. Definitely be getting more soon!

Comments: Can't beat this rod for $70. 6'8" is a great topwater and jerkbait rod. I like to throw buzzbaits with it while using braid. Soft tip allows the fish to fully inhale the bait and the rod is strong enough to pull them away from cover. Also very light and sensitive compared to other rods in its class. Only way it could be better was if it had the same grips as the Lowrider and Expert model Falcons.

Comments: Nice rod. Bought the 6'8" medium. Originally it for spinnerbaits but it has now morphed into my Texas rig rod. The rod is light, sensitive, but acts more like a medium heavy. Great for throwing moving baits like chatter, buzz, spinner, and swimbaits. Also handles buzzbaits, swim jigs, and Texas rigs. Great rod for the money.

Comments: Got this rod in the 7" heavy model to jig fish with. I absolutely love it! Great backbone, no problem manhandling big fish. Sensitive tip to help feel the bite on jigs. For 70 dollars you can't go wrong here, great rod. 10/10 would recommend to anybody that is looking for a less expensive rod. Always heard good things about Falcon and decided to try them for myself, and I'm glad I did, will be buying more in the future.
