Comments: Good rod overall. I use my 7'4" med/hvy for topwater spooks and poppers but I have learned to use braid with this rod bacause of line fraying when using fluoro or mono. The rod has a very parabolic bend but does have good backbone to keep fish pinned. Very durable as I am a tournament angler and put my rods through a lot. Recommend for those who need a rod specifically for topwater baits such as spooks and poppers.

Comments: So i bought this 1 piece medium heavy rod about 2 weeks ago and Ive already caughgt some decent largemouth and smallmouth on it but whats super frustrating is that everything seems to be fine with the rod until I look at my rod after hearing a loud rubbing noise whenever I'm reeling in a bait. (Only been using baits up to 3/8 oz.) I feel my line and check for frays and what do you know the rod was fraying my line. I use the same line on most of my rods which is just regular 12 lb p-line because I don't need any line much heavier than this to fish the lakes by me but on all of my other rods. Yes all. The line I use works nicely but the sick stick is the one exception. I'm pretty disapointed because I like to tournament fish so when I tie up a 3/16th oz. Bait I shouldn't have to worry about fraying my line or not be able to depend on my gear to bring a fish to the boat.

Comments: It was an overall decent rod, but it is fairly heavy and not the most sensitive rod either. After having the rod for one year it snapped on a small largemouth and I was pretty disappointed about that. I would not recommend this rod, for the price you could get so much nicer of a rod.

Comments: I've had the 7'4 heavy for almost a year, and I don't like to post reviews unless I have fished a rod and feel that I know it's limitations. For the price? It's an ok rod. I've fished midwestern ponds and lakes for bass, highland reservoirs for pike, western ponds, lakes, and reservoirs; all with this rod. It does a good job when fishing pads with a frog and working heavy top water baits in the 1/2-3/4 oz range, but that's all I can say that it does well. I've fished jigs and heavy Texas rigs on this rod, and that's where it struggles, especially if you like running braid to leader on your rods. This rod has micro guides that aren't very durable, as I've bent out 2 guides within the first 2 months of fishing with it. But my biggest problem is the blank itself. The "fast action" tip is more like a moderate fast tip, and on the lighter side of that action. These rods are really heavy in weight and the sensitivity is lacking. I'm only writing this review because my rod broke last week while it was sitting in my car during our first cold front. I didn't even have it rigged up and I am very disappointed. This rod is good for beginners looking for a decent frog rod, but the more hobbyist and intermediate fishermen should look elsewhere for their workhorse rods. I recommend 13 fishing, even though their omen black series rods are being discontinued, but you can get the same blank in the sick stick(which is even lighter, more sensitive and at accurate power and action ratings) in their $60 rods. That's saying something in my mind. All around, it's an ok rod, but I'm not buying another one in the foreseeable future.

Comments: Great overall rod works well with most baits, paired it with my Quantum Smoke. Ordered the MH and not disappointed at all. I found I really enjoy using it with a lot of my top water baits (spooks, poppers, and frogs). Also the rod comes with a rod sock.

Comments: These rods run light in power. I'm not sure if it is all of Favorite's rods or just this one. I got the 7'2 MH and it's supremely light and balanced but it is really a medium power. Paired with my Chronarch MGL it is a superb fluke rod. If I'm throwing a fluke, which I usually am, it's exclusively on this rod. Other baits that work well with this rod are: 3/8-1/2oz spinnerbaits and chatterbaits, 2x squarebills, spooks and walking baits, poppers and jerkbaits. It throws lighter baits well as it is a softer rod and is a 80% backbone and 20% tip so it loads up on fish well but also with a good amount of backbone.
