Comments: Overall these are pretty good for replacing hooks and split rings. They are small enough to fit in to most split rings down to a snug No. 2, but big enough to get the larger ones as well. Grip is comfortable and spring opening helps make quick work of replacing hooks. Had to order another brand of smaller pliers for the smaller split rings since some No. 2 and smaller split rings it permanently opens the ring due to the angle of the tip and lower jaw when clamping down at an angle since it won't fit all the way inside of the split ring. Case that these come with has one side with a strap to hold these in, and another slot on the other side that I put my smaller split ring pliers in, just without a velcro strap to hold them in, but its so snug they haven't came out yet with twice a week use of my bag loading and unloading in the house/truck/boat.

Comments: These pliers are nicely built and cut braid with no issue. The only complaint I have is the way the cutter is positioned it is difficult to cut the knot close to the hook. Definitely better that any other pliers I have purchased prior.
