Comments: I own many different baitcasters. I've always had a neutral opinion of them, if not a low opinion. I purchased a shimano slx151 for a trip to bacarac. I hated that reel. And it sat on the deck of the boat the whole time. I also purchased the Fitzgerald vld10 for that trip and paired it with the thrift cranking rod for my lipless set up. I landed hundreds of fish on that trip. I fell in love with Fitzgerald. They rarely if ever backlash and cast a mile. I own many fitzgerald reels now and many rods. Never been a brand specific person buy I can't help but buy it. The quality is there. The functionality is there. And they look awesome.

Comments: As a guide on Lake Okeechobee i only put products in my clients hands that I trust and I can honestly say that the VLD10 is the only reel on the deck of my boat. Super long casts, retrieve is flawless, and winches giants with ease. 100% the baddest reel out. Go get one, or two!

Comments: I am in love this reel. Super smooth casting and the smooth drag can handle the heavy load of flipping in heavy cover or the light load of jerk bait fishing. Nice profile to fit your hand and the I love the simple color patterns Fitzgerald tends to stick with.

Comments: Got you use a few of these with a buddy first, and i was super impressed. Ended up buying one, and wanted to put it though the paces before writing up a review. These things are on the same level as the Shimano Curado Ks (if not better). Smooth, quiet, and held up with the paces of tournament fishing. From cranking, flipping and big worming this reel can do it all.
