Almost perfect, and STILL gets killer bitesI can't say enough good things about this bird frog. Walk it like a frog and the side tails tuck in to the body for good tight turns, on the stop they flare out like a bird on water. I've gotten my biggest bites working it like a bird trying to take off though. 3-4 drags in a straight line and it looks unreal. The nose wants to lift up and when you pop it the wings retract, then expand, repeat with every pop. looks just like a baby bird trying to get off the water.
My biggest critique is the size. It's a 65-70 sized frog which is a hair too big in my opinion. If they made this in a true 50-55 size, and added color more come patterns, it would absolutely break the mold on frog fishing. It's already proven itself in my waters, and a slightly smaller size would completely dominate anything from 6"-6'

Flip the Bird!Picked up a bird and rotated into my frog/topwater lineup. First, the design is awesome, hooks stout and sharp, durable and very realistic. Walks really well and as you walk, the wings tuck and flare when you pause. Looks like a struggling bird on the surface. You can also rip it forward to make it look struggling flapping forwards. Flips and fits into tight or thick cover and walks great in open water. Highly recommend picking one up and throwing for a big bite.
This bird rules!This is one of my favorite lures to fish with, if I am flipping and skipping it under docks, it gets crushed, fishing it like a bird in open water, it get crushed, pulling it around brush and over grass, it gets crushed! This has been my favorite lure to fish on hot days due to the fact that birds can get exhausted and fall into the water mid flight and get eaten by bass, it is important to remember to fish in like a bird not a frog, birds do not walk like how you would walk a frog, to mimic a injured bird I like to put a drop shot weight and a line peg 8 inches above the line tie and yank the rod to make it thrash as if it had a wing injury if I'm throwing it in open water, when it comes to grass or brush i like to skip it and let it sit and twitch with small pops of the rod tip, this causes bass to strike from the skirt(wings)sitting and moving in the water inducing a reaction bite, so all in all this is one of my go to lures for huge bass and small ones, great hook sets always in the edge of the basses lip, pick a color based on your area and fishing the hell out of it, they will crush it!, bass eat birds so a good bird lure is good to have, this ones the best. GET IT!
Best bird on the market !This bird lure is one you have to have in your arsenal ! Over hanging trees or bushes are prime real-estate to toss these baby’s !
Great alternative to classic frogFished these many years ago when they first came out. Great alternative to a typical frog, especially under branchlines. I found best success not trying to walk these like a typical frog but rather throw under branches or overhangs and twitch in place. This lure was released many years ago for those unaware and had quite an underground following at the time. Very glad to see them back in action
This Bird is " WILD " !I am impressed with this frog that is concealed in a bird / bat format! Cast this bait beside canyon walls, under hanging limbs, bridges, around wood, and in heavy aquatic cover. Let it "sit". The skirt will flare out like wings, then shake the rod making it "quiver". Use a stop and go retrieve. Vary the speed to provoke attacks. Hollow belly fishing will never be the same! Tight Lines!
