Overview

Blurring the line between multiple types of topwater baits, the Freedom Tackle Mischief Minnow Bladed Topwater is a topwater lure that can be used as a walking bait or a wakebait, but also includes the attraction element of an underspin with its belly rigged blade.  As the bait is twitched or waked across the surface, the oversized blade will clack and flash on the body and treble hooks of the bait causing tons of commotion.  The Freedom Tackle Mischief Minnow comes equipped with ultra-sharp Gamakatsu trebles hooks so this lure is ready to hit the water right out of the package.

Comments: I love these for catching bass while they are schooling! They can't resist the flash that the spinner creates while it is being jerked in the water!!!

From: Jeremy: Waldo, Ar. 9/26/23

Comments: These lures are the absolute bomb, perfect for trawling behind a canoe across flat water or rivers, make a great sound and irresistible to the fish. We got trout and both small and large mouth bass in no time on the Sturgeon river with this. Can't go wrong. Made by some great people too!

From: Peter: Toronto, Canada 9/30/21

Comments: Bait looks and sounds good in the water. It was a little tricky to cast into the wind with the blade. I think this bait will have its place when the fish want a topwater to be fished on a steady retrieve. I would like to see some more colors as well. All and all I would recommend giving this bait a try.

From: Wade: Idaho 8/20/21

Comments: Awesome bait, the clacking noise and side to side action look like a running minnow being chased. Color choices to match any water clarity that I would encounter. Highly recommend this bait for any top water lovers or even beginner anglers!

From: Russ: Verbena, Alabama 3/21/21

Comments: I have 4 of the 4.5" model on this bait and it's killer. Aside from a straight retrieve, I like to rip/walk it. Similar to a prop bait. Bluegill pattern has been my top producing color too! I love that it comes with the snap too, I used with and without. Definitely USE the snap, greatly improves that action.

From: Unknown: Oklahoma 3/21/21

Comments: Does not swim like the video. It's  more like a stick with clackers. Very dissapointed.

From: Troy: Fresno, CA 2/8/21

Comments: Love this bait, similar to a buzzbait just cast and retrieve, spits and splashes and creates noise. One advantage is you can stop this bait over schooling fish and fish it with hard twitches to draw strikes. Small one fishes best on spinning rod.

From: Joseph: Alabama 2/8/21

Comments: There was a crack on the head of the lure so quality control is pretty poor. Doesn't cast or swim well, maynot had anything to do with the crack. I think this lure would work better if it was designed closer to a spook.

From: Unknown: 2/8/21

Comments: Pretty disappointed with this lure, when I saw it I thought wow what a great idea...but it doesn't cast well and the blade messes with the hookup ratio...would of much rather spent 13$ on a whopper.

From: Blake: Shelbyville 2/4/21

Comments: Another hyped bait with no action. The only thing that moves is the blade. Might as well attach a blade to a stick. The action would be about the same.

From: Mike: Central Texas 12/28/20

Comments: I have these in both sizes and a couple different colors. Man you can really catch fish with these. I have caught a ton of fish with this bait. It cast awesome and the hooks are sharp. I really like to fish it like i would a jerbait. It has a ton of action and really throws water. You can call fish from some deep water. I love how it never acts the same when you retrieve it. That big blade adds a ton of flash and can make a big splash too. I will be buying more.

From: Brian: Haugen, WI 9/2/20

Comments: Got one of each in both sizes. The bait is unique and works like you would expect. Has a really good clacking sound and the body vibrates with the blade. It does get bit by pressured bass as well. Hook up ratio is low, even though it comes with Gamakatsu hooks. There is no weight transfer system, so that combined with the blade, the bait doesn't cast well at all. It also contributes to the front treble grabbing the line in flight. Good colors and cool idea but can't see buying any more at $13 a whack.
