Overview

When you are fishing in stained or turbulent water and want some extra flash and vibration, the G Funk Baits Bladed Cali Rig is here to the rescue. Hand-assembled in the USA and built with premium components, including four premium willow blades, it features a durable 5-wire construction that accommodates two teasers and three fully-rigged swimbaits.

Featuring Owner Swivels and Hyper Wire Split Rings instead of traditional snap swivels, this premium setup provides a compact profile and reliable strength. Also featuring small Lucky Craft Oval Split Rings and micro-sized Owner Swivels, the Bladed Cali Rig’s ultra thin blades turn at any speed.

Outfitted with short wires on top for teasers and long wires on bottom for hooked baits, this balances the rig and funnels bass towards the hooked baits. Each Cali Rig also comes pre-rigged with stainless steel springs that make attaching dummy baits quick-and-easy, and the perfectly-sized wires are light enough to allow you to twitch the rod and make your baits come to life, but still strong enough to flip giant bass in the boat.

Available in two different colored wires, the Silver wires are perfect for clear water and Clearlake Camo wires are ideal for stained water.  If you’re faced with windy or rough conditions and you want more drawing power, the G Funk Baits Bladed Cali Rig pulls fish from greater distances and triggers ferocious strikes.

**Don't forget to check your State's fish and game rules and regulations - a fully rigged umbrella rig is illegal in some States.

Comments: Ran great until it didn't. Unfortunately had one of these come apart in my hand as I was adjusting the wires. Sure, I may have just gotten unlucky but that shouldn't even be a concern for the price you pay for this rig.

Comments: I caught a delta striper first cast, then i got a snag. I pulled pretty hard and the split ring broke. I went to change the split rings and soon realized the pliers would cut the split rings w very light pressure. I replaced them but now im worried about the swivels. Also worried about the wires but we will see next trip.

Comments: Caught a 33 pound striper on it. Bent one wire. Rig held up unbelievable

From: Peter: 5/10/21

Comments: The A rig performed really well with keitechs of choice size and the standard Matt Allen Swimbait heads. It was balanced really well, and it was nice not having to cut off and install new hardware on the rig. I was curious how long it would last. It lasted about 80 to 100 bass 1-6lb range, 6 snags and about all of those bass were boat flipped and power fished. But then one of the wires broke. I put a gentle bend in the wire as recommended from the tactical bassin guys. It went through the ringer with satisfaction but it was my first high end rig so I don't have any comparisons. I think its a game of give and take with wire size, you want soft wire to make the baits react to rod twitches and tough wire to last those 50 bass

Comments: So far this new rig has worked out very well over the ones previously purchased. Once I understood NOT to bend the wires right behind the head at a steep angle I noticed a stark improvement in longevity. I now make make my bends more drawn out and further away from the main head. Thanks to Matt @ Tactical Bassin on Youtube I have learned a new way to extend the value of my investments from Tackle Warehouse.

Comments: Started using this G funk Cali Bladed last year and it's a blast to fish with. Still looking to catch two at the same time like others, but love when they hit this thing. Been experimenting with plastics and different jig heads for fun. However the basic setup I've seen most use is money! Buying a rod and reel set up just for this rig really soon. I'll be casting this thing to the moon.

Comments: Love these lures! I caught two hog white bass at the same time on my first cast using one of these bad boys. And have the pic to prove it! Have since caught plenty of spots, whites and largies using the same lure. I really appreciated the great advice from the Gfunk guys on their Instagram on proper bends, rigging and care. Want that in the boat percentage to go up take care of your stuff right. Just got a couple new Cali Camo's rigged up and excited to test em this weekend.

Comments: Completely agree with last comment. It does work but smallies destroy it after 5-6 fish. Plus I had one that blades were not holding up well right from the package. Joint is not strong enough.

From: Patrick: Canada 9/3/19

Comments: Caught 3 total fish, one Striper weighing 4 pounds and two smaller bass, wires are very brittle. 3 fish before one breaks is not for me

From: Ryan: 7/20/19

Comments: I'm have mixed reviews, the bait works great but the wires are very brittle and break after just a few fish.

From: Unknown: 1/1/18

Comments: Ive been fishing these since they were released on TW and have loved them. I now find myself not wanting to throw the dozen or so other rigs I own, the gauge of wire is just right its thin enough to get stikes i feel my others wont, yet thick enough to boat flip  in a 9.7 pounder (which i did). Hands down my favorite A rig worth the money.

From: Unknown 8/28/17

Comments: I've only had problems with these rigs. Either the wire breaks or get so bent up that you can't fish it effectively. Had too many fish come off. I'm done with them.

From: Unknown 8/13/17

Comments: Best rig out there hands down!!!!! Caught  over 20+ fish in a day and the g rig worked flawlessly.  Had two spotted bass hit at the same time both fish were 5+ lbs each.

From: Unknonwn 8/9/17

Comments: I have been throwing the Cali Rig since last November and I couldn't be more impressed! The Cali Rig was responsible for a record fall for me and not to mention a couple lake records. I landed well over 20 fish from 5lbs to 11lb range in just a two month time period and half of those were spots! I have already stocked up for this coming fall! Thanks G Funk Baits!!!!!

From: Unknown 8/8/17

Comments: Wires break very easily!!!! When your breaking wires on 1-2 pounds spots you have a problem! Baits are Garbage. I went back to Picasso.
