Comments: Similar to the previous E6X series. Great rod for flipping around wood or sparse tules. I found it is a little soft for punching or flipping grass. Still great backbone, super sensitive tip and light in hand. Strapped with a Shimano Curado and 20lb fluoro, this is my go-to rod for flipping jigs around laydowns. If you want a rod to punch/flip heavy grass, this isn't the rod, better off spending a little more money and grab an IMX Pro 955C FPR.

Comments: My first flip/punch rod. I was surprised on the sensitivity, quality and light weight on this GCX model. Guides seem high quality also. The only thing I did not care for is the glued on cork butt cap. Other than that this rod loads up nice punching and flipping the reeds and hauls them bass out nice with plenty of power.
