Comments: I got the 7'5 MH rod. This rod isn't worth it. I'm not saying that this rod is bad because I am confident that the rod and they eyes of the rod won't break but for 270$ there are so many better rods in the market. I bought this rod for football jigs light or heavy, but no matter what jig I throw it is not sensitive at all this rod is also on the heavier side. This could be my fault but my cheap bass pro carbonlite 2.0 is a lot more sensitive than the GCX. I fished this rod for about 3 days and decided to return it. I didn't have the rod long enough to have a full review on it but my first impressions would say to not buy this rod, but if you don't want you moneys worth than this would be the rod for you.

Comments: This rod is crap I am 14 years old and can't afford to spend almost 300$ on a rod that breaks the sixth time I use it and it broke when I was getting my 1/2 oz jig out from the hook keeper. Also it is super unbalanced very disappointed.

From: Carter: Brush Prairie 7/8/23

Comments: The G. Loomis GCX rods are in my opinion not the lightest rod, not the most sensitive, or the cheapest. One thing that I can say about this rod is that it is dependable. I own 5 E6X rods, casting and spinning and one GCX rod 7'5 MH JWR. All of these rods have been super strong, durable and have pulled fish out of cover when needed. I have never had a guide fall out of a Loomis rod, where other companies the epoxy cracks and guides fall out often. These rods are workhorses and I trust them with every fish I catch.

From: Ryan: Benton, Arkansas 4/11/23

Comments: I bought the 7'1" med heavy and it is one of the worst g Loomis rods I've ever used. The reel seat was very poor quality and always came loose. The rod felt like a wet noodle. I will not be buying anymore gcx models.

From: Owen: 11/28/22

Comments: Review of 852c: Great extra fast tip, very comfortable handle, guides are well spaced and of good quality, good cork. I find this model to be very versatile, and fun to fish. Favorite techniques are 1/4oz chatter bait mini max, 3/16 and 1/4oz t rigs, 1/4 and 5/16oz finesse jigs, fat ika weightless, 5" stick baits t rigged weightless, super fluke, and 4" Swimbait with a light belly weighted underspin hook.....That's a lot of different applications for one rod to excel at, and it does very well. The IMX-Pro version is even nicer! Great rods

Comments: Writing this for people on the fence about getting this rod. I fish mostly "higher end" rods. I purchased the 893c to use for a light t-rig rod. The GCX is by far the worst Loomis rod I've ever used. 7'5" rod with a handle shorter than my 7' GLX. Rod is extremely tip heavy, even w a Bantam on it, more mushy than crisp. Disappointed in this purchase. The Phenix Feathers fish better all around than these and are about $100 cheaper. Great for a beginner. Rod feels like a swimbait rod due to the weight. Will not purchase any more GCX rods.
