Comments: Also a 873 CRR owner here. Arguably the best 5/16-1/2oz jig rod on the market. I have mine paired with a 16 Metanium with 40lb super slick braid, I'll tie a 17lb leader in clearer water and the whole system works flawlessly. Rod is crazy light, unmatched sensitivity, yet still feels strong because of the high-power X wrapping. It really is the ultimate overall jig rod. Been using 7/16th oz Beastcoast baby dozer jigs and I can feel everything that's going on with my bait. I can then turn around and throw a 1/2 lil magnum grass jig and winch bass out of pads and sparse hydrilla with no problem. I rarely lose fish because of the top half of the rod being slightly slower but there's no lack of power in the bottom half of the blank. The new reel seat also puts the previous gen NRXs to shame. Extremely comfortable to hold all day. If you're willing to shell out the cash, Id grab the 873 CRR carolina rig rod, it's the hidden gem in the NRX+ line.

Comments: I love my 873c CRR - if you're looking for that pretty much do it all jig rod in the 3/8 - 1/2 range it's definitely the ticket. I've found it to be the unicorn for me as it falls right in-between the 893c and 894c which I have sold. Not that those rods were bad, I just feel like the 873c CRR is THAT GOOD!

Comments: I got the 7'5 med heavy ex fast let me tell ya this is one bad rod action is perfect for jigs and wobble heads makes me wanna replace all my rods with this with the spiral x it doesn't feel like it's gonna break like the previous one but for how light it is it has so much power and just incredibly sensitive if u think about buying it get it you won't regret one penny

Comments: Let me just say, THIS ROD IS AMAZING! If you have the previous NRX rod I would definitely upgrade. These rods are a bit lighter than the old NRX. The model I have is the 853C JWR. The sensitivity is amazing I can feel a fish breath with this rod. I have mine paired with a metanium dc and the setup is perfectly balanced. Overall 5 stars!
