Comments: This hook is strong yet thin wire and the right size for smaller lures. It is the best heavy cover hook for tough conditions I have ever used.

Comments: Have flipped heavy cover for over 30 years my only problem with this hook and many others is the keeper. Once you stick fish after fish with this hook chances are this keeper will loosen and slide. Like the hook but not the keeper. Happens with all hooks I've tried. If the Hack Attack hook had a closed eye the hunt for the perfect hook would be over. Hack Attack is made by Gamakatsu so don't see why it can't be closed.

Comments: The attention to detail is unsurpassed with any product Aaron Martins was involved with. This is by far the best hook for heavy cover flipping ever invented, in my opinion.

Comments: This is hands down the meanest punching hook that I've used. It's got a good gap for pinning fish while maintaining a nonobtrusive profile and wire thickness, but where it really comes into its own is the sharpness and barb. Whatever they've done with the increased sharpness that the stiffer can take and smaller barb allows this and all g finesse hooks to penetrate bone like it's nobody's business and in a majority of cases you'll be needing to beat the fish over the head or use a pliers to get the hook out. On top of that the keeper does a superb job at holding baits on. I started using this hook because the g finesse heavy cover hook was a bit too thin to stay in the bait I was punching with and would slowly penetrate through (I did flip an 8 on one just fine), but this hook has a bit more wire thickness and a similar but not identical bend. When snelled it cavitates straight into bone on a tight line hookset, emphasis on tight line. On top of that the complaints that people have about the keeper slipping haven't plagued me and at most if you smash a rock like the delta has on rip rap it might get a bit loose from side to side but won't present issues, at worst just super glue it.

Comments: Razor sharp hooks & works great on creature baits. The price point is a little high but you pay for quality.

Comments: Very sharp and slick. It doesn't take much to punch this hook through the jaw of a bass. The bait keeper is very effective and doesn't tear up baits near as bad as others.

Comments: Awesome hook! Stays sharp and doesn't straighten out even in the heaviest cover with large fish.

Comments: Fantastic hook designed by a great Champion. Lightning fast penetration and holding power. Very little flex with strong hook ups. I will keep buying these. Fished it up to 55lb braid with no issues. Thanks Aaron!!

Comments: Strong hook with a sharp point that penetrates good. The bait keeper helps greatly

Comments: Fantastic Hook, Like the 2/0 size for Zoom Speed Craws. Best Heavy Cover Worm Hook to date!
From: Freshie: No. Easton 7/23/22
Comments: Hooks are very sharp and work as good as any I have tried. The cons are the keeper slides down after a few fish and they bend easily. I will keep using them until i find a better hook. Yes they will break also.

Comments: Terrible. Multiple hooks broke while fishing. I will not buy them again.

Comments: I fished from the same pack all year. I have one hook left. Sharp and light. No bait keeper issues for me. I do most of my pitching with a short and stubby creature bait that will remain nameless, a pegged 1/8oz tungsten weight, and this hook on 20lb floro. Great system for me that has caught a ton of fish.

Comments: Sorry to say, I'm having the same problem others have had with the bait keeper sliding up and down the hook. I've had the same issue with the other Gamakatsu punching hooks. I guess I'll have to keep looking for the perfect punch hook...

Comments: I Flip Lake Okeechobee and my go to hook is the Super heavy cover Gammy. This hook strength is along the lines of a standard heavy cover gammy hook. Great shape, diameter etc., but not a Punch strength hook.

Comments: Sharp hook but will bend on a mag heavy rod with braid. Still holds up and hooks fish.

Comments: Nice job A Mart! These hooks are Awesome...super sticky almost like a saltwater hook. Great keeper, no flex but not too heavy gauge which is nice! The search is over....get these!

Comments: This is a great hook. It is unbelievably sharp and I like all they size options. I noticed some people complained about the keeper slipping but I never had an issue. These hooks have some sort of teflon coating on them so they have less friction for the hook to penetrate on hook sets. Because of that coating, it is really hard to get anything to stick to it which is my guess why these keepers may eventually slip. Unfortunately that may be something that you may have deal with to get a better hook. I would recommend a tiny drop of super glue on either end of the keeper and then take a Q-Tip to clean up the excess if the problem does happen.

Comments: Don't waist your money. These hooks are no better than the cheap hooks in terms of performance. I love Gamakatsu hooks but there flipping hooks are a rip off.
From: Adam: North Carolina 8/25/21
Comments: Very sharp hook but does bend in heavy cover. The keeper will break free so I have put JB weld around the bottom of the bait keeper
Not sure they are worth the price for 4 hooks.

Comments: I have been waiting for these hooks to come out for a while. They have been delayed for months, and are finally in. I like this keeper better than the previous versions of Gamakatsu flipping hooks, and better than a mono keeper. These hooks are as thin in diameter as the standard heavy cover flipping hooks, but do not flex under pressure similar to the Super Heavy Cover flipping hooks. The nano coat is very slick (other brands that have the technology, but don't use it on their straight shank hooks), and the hooks come super sharp out of the package. They have a welded eye, and the bend is not quite round, adding to the ability to keep fish pinned. These will be my go to hooks for flipping and pitching. I also use the G-Finesse Heavy Cover flipping hook, and between the 2 versions, I don't think there is a reason to buy any other hook

Comments: Gamakatsu should be ashamed of themselves. I simply cannot understand how they continue to put out crap hooks where the bait keeper comes loose and slides after just a couple fish. This will be my last Gama hook. Ridiculous!!!!
From: Hydrilla Gorilla: Lake Seminole, FL 2/24/21
Comments: Neat idea but the lead bait keeper only lasts for a fish or two before it starts moving.
