Not exactly the brass ring of clothesIt's a microfiber cloth and it works fine until the brass ring pulls out, which it will inevitably do because the towel is not reinforced around the ring. I got about three uses and washings before the ring became useless.
If you're looking to hang a rag off your belt to wipe off fish slime, the hiking Packtowel is a far better option.
