Comments: First of all, I'm a die hard Shimano man; that being said the 7'2" Med/heavy has become a go to...... light, sensitive, strong. Throws everything well over 3/8oz. I paired it with a Lew's SLP reel and 10lb CXX and I'll do anything, any species with this rod. I'm not saying its better than Zodias, but i got it on sale and am very happy.

Comments: I bought the 6'10" Medium because it was rated down to 1/16oz to try out as a BFS rod. The ratings were correct and in store (I bought it locally) it felt good. The pros: It throws a whopper plopper 60 (1/4oz) well enough. Has the perfect flex for a treble hooked bait that size. It's stupid light. If you're throwing a 1/8oz jighead with a 2.8-3.3 keitech, it will be fantastic. It would probably work really well for 1/4-3/8oz jerkbaits and cranks. The cons: If you plan to go lighter than about 3/16oz, look elsewhere. I think the 1/16oz rating is optimistic. I had a 3/32oz spinnerbait tied on (yes, they exist…hard to find though) and it felt like throwing a regular spinnerbait on a flipping stick.

Comments: Been using the Ks II elite for a couple years now...both spinning and casting, and I love them . The blanks are crazy sensitive and I recommend theme to everyone due to that.

Comments: I have been using the 7'2 mh small jigs,7'5 mh whopper plopper, buzz bait and foot ball jigs the best all around rod I have used. I am also using the 7'5 heavy for flipping and picthing. The sensitivity is great. I would recommend

Comments: Picked up a 7'2" MH. the fit and finish of the rod was very nice but the balance and action was not. I found it very tip heavy when I slid it out of the tube but trying to be open minded mounted a Shimano Curado MGL 150 on it but the balance was no better and the action felt more like a heavy so I sent it back. I fish mostly Kistler, Castaway, Powell and Dobyns so I feel there are lighter more sensitive options at the $170 price point

Comments: Picked up the 7'2 H on a whim after watching Mikey Balzy on YouTube, but don't waste your money, its an extremely heavy rod! Spend another $20 and get an Fx custom rod best rod for the money that I've found light, sensitive and Winn grips or cork!

Comments: The guys from American bait works took me on the tour of their Warehouse and hooked me up with the 7'2 H. It's my medium cover/ open water frog rod and it's great! It weighs less than my 7'2 heavy SLX (heavy frog rod) and I'd compare the sensitivity to that of a Zodias (so an all around good buy). I will say, even though its rated as a heavy rod, it fishes more like a medium heavy, I'd say it's action is similar to my 7'2 medium heavy expride. The only thing I'm not crazy about is how large the reel seat is; it is comfortable but a little too big for my medium hands, which makes palming the reel (Tatula 100) a little difficult. That aside I'd really recommend this rod to anyone looking for a solid, good looking rod that doesn't break the bank.

Comments: Picked up a 7'2 H KSII Elite for Froggin' after watching this vid. Haven't been able to get on the water yet to try it out but it looks and feels sweet. You're right about the reel seat, I have medium size hands and it feels a bit big BUT it's still very comfortable. I also tried pairing the rod with both a spooled 150 and 200 size reel (SLX XT & Curado 200i) and the 200 size reel filled out my hand better, was more comfortable and had better balance. The balance point on the 200 was at the top of the reel seat threads, where the 150 balanced about an inch above it. Either size is fine IMO but I think a 200 size will be more comfortable if you're working a frog all day. I also have a 7'2H SLX rod and use it for froggin' as well. I'd say the KSII is stiff with good back bone but has more tip than the SLX, which may have to do with the rod being rated for lures up to 1oz vs the SLXs rating of up to 1.5oz. The KSII is probably better for working smaller frogs but can probably handle a 'River2sea Bully Wa 2 65 (4/5oz frog)' just fine. These are just my first impressions but I hope this is useful feedback for anyone interested in buying this rod....

Comments: I bought my ksII elite a couple of months ago and it has quickly become one of my favorite rods the power and taper are spot on and this thing is lightweight while retaining a strong backbone and being super sensitive. Its a great rod for the price.

Comments: I have two KSll Elite in 7'2" Med Hvy. I have been putting these bad boyz to the test and let me tell you I don't baby my rods. Not only are these rods pretty to look at, they get a thumbs up when it gets to the nitty-gritty. I use them mainly for swimming a 3/8 jig with a 6/0 hook on 40Lb Power Pro braid. I have caught numerous big heads on this set up. These are IMO a true Med Hvy not a wimpy Med Hvy. These things are super sensitive & very lite....loaded with the best components available. If your in the market for a truly mean Med Hvy give these a try. WORTH every penny.
