Comments: I bought several rods during the off season including the 7'3 JAK rod. Most of them cost more than the JAK but so far I've used the JAK more than all the rest combined. On the lower end I like to use Keitech 1/4 ball head jigs with a 4" Easy Shiner and it makes nice long casts, 3/16 on a smaller Shiner and I'm wanting more distance though...larger Keitechs on a 3/8 head, this is the perfect rod for it, same for Jackhammer Chatterbaits, I've caught some nice fighting smallies on all of these lures. When I first got the rod I was worried the tip was too soft, I read some other reviews where they describe this as a medium + rod but once you hit the middle of the blank it has a lot more power than you think. I should know, a 20 lb carp ate my swimbait the other day (!) and the JAK handled it fine. This is the only rod I've reviewed, I have that much confidence in it, quality and performance is top notch.

Comments: I own 2 of the JAK series rods. 7'3 Extra Heavy and 7'3 Heavy. The handles are the perfect length and the sensitivity is unreal. These things are more sensitive than anything I've ever put in my hands. I'll be buying more for sure. Have had issues with the tip tops breaking, but no big deal. Put another tip on and go fish.

Comments: This is a well balanced and light weight rod. I mainly use this for bladed jigs and the castability is excellent and the craftsmanship is at high level. The action is appropriate for intended technique, bladed jigs to be specific, so you do not lose a fish. It also has ripping through vegetation ability up to its power ratings. I did not test spinner baits yet, but I think it will be good at it on open waters. I will be buying more Hammer rods.

Comments: This is the first Hammer rod I have purchased and the quality and finish is great while also being super lightweight. Unfortunately, I will be returning because I bought the 7'3" heavy with intentions to use it for heavier jigs and frogs. It feels a lot like a MH action to me. Will definitely be buying some more of these rods for other applications however.

Comments: Have the 7'3 MH rod in this series. It's listed as a chatterbait/spinnerbait rod which it is great at that. But it's also a great senko and a walking topwater rod. Awsome rod and one that I'm very glad I tried

Comments: I've bought several of the Winn Grip rods and the new Jak Series is just as awesome! Love the new guides and handle length! Hammer really hit a home run with this series!
