Improve the performance of your baitcast reels with the advanced Hawg Tech Reel Spool Bearings. Featuring ceramic bearings with stainless steel races, these drop-in replacement bearings are compatible with most freshwater baitcasting reels and significantly improve the free spool and casting performance of your reels. Also constructed with nylon cages instead of steel, this allows them to run quieter than other replacement ceramic bearings on the market as well.
Ceramic bearings also don’t corrode like stainless steel or other bearing materials, and they don’t require lubrication either. Hawg Tech Reel Spool Bearings come dry and are made to run without oil, providing you with longer use without any maintenance. Whether you’re tuning up an old reel or tricking out a new high-end reel, Hawg Tech Reel Spool Bearings will dramatically increase your reel’s performance.

Comments: These bearings make a noticeable difference. As others have said they are a little noisy but the casting difference is tremendous. I don't have to put in as much effort to make a long cast and flipping is significantly easier.

Comments: I have now switched all my lews over with hawgtech handles and bearings and now order handles direct for all the different colors and nob types by them and love the 102 mm handles. awesome quality bar none.

Comments: These bearings are great! I replaced the bearings in my Curado in about five minutes. The performance increase was noticeable and immediate. They are a little bit noisier but this is because bearings are run dry (no oil needed for ceramic bearings). You can make them quiet by adding a little bit of oil, but this slows them down a bit which defeats the purpose.

Comments: I have ordered many many sets of these bearings from Hawgtech. I have put these in all of my reels and get comments every time I fish with a new person. People can't believe how far I cast. These bearings will make a new reel way better and an old reel new again. The price is amazing the quality is even better.

Comments: I mainly use Daiwa Tatula R's and a few older Curados. These bearings paired with the Carbon Fiber Hawg Handles turn them into top of the line reels. They do make a slight more noise which is the nature of ceramics but I've noticed that most of them quieten down with use over time. I get 10-15% more distance when I'm launching a big crankbait but when I'm flipping is when I really notice a big difference. My flips and pitches are more accurate and effortless and skipping distances under docks has improved. They are really easy to put in most reels and for the small price you get a superior upgrade in performance. I won't ever use another reel without them...

Comments: I purchased 4 sets of these bearings for my Abu Garcia RevoSX baitcasting reels and was not impressed at all. They are VERY VERY VERY loud and I could not really notice any improvement in my casting distance. Putting back in my stock bearings.

Comments: Worth it, I didn't get quite the distance improvement I expected but enough improvement for this product to be called a very good investment. The noise increase isn't as bad as some would suggest. I replaced bearings on a metanium 13 and on a 50 yard cast, I think I added about an extra 4or 5 yards.
I do recommend this product and plan on replacing bearings in some more reels. It's a very customized approach to upgrades and seems more user friendly than other options for bearing replacement. Plus your dealing with the great folks at TW. Overall it does work really well and I think you're going to like this product, especially if you own Shimano reels as no spool shaft tools are required.

Comments: I purchased bearings for 10 reels based on the chart. I wanted to replace spool bearings in Shimano Daiwa and lews reels. Replacement of the bearing behind the pin on the spool shaft required removal of that pin. I did not have the special tool and used pliers instead. With Shimano and Daiwa this was fairly easy. With Lews the pin would bend and break. I have several pins and a new spool on order from lews. Biggest performance gain was Shimano curado and Cronarch. The spools spin forever. Many reels have three spool bearings and the chart only indicates two. Not always easy to switch out the stock bearings, but can be worth it
