Greetings from Souse CackalackyI had difficulty getting the blades to turn. I had to jerk the rod several times each cast to get them to spin. Later in the day I caught an 8 lb. largemouth on it. Otherwise, I would not have recommend this bait.
Will catch lots of big fish but...be aware .Early versions of this lure in the 1/2. ounce had a large rear blade with lots of thump but in recent years the 1/2 ounce version has a small rear blade which makes it just an ordinary lure. Please return to making the 1/2 ounce with the large rear thumper blade and you got the best lure ever. Currently I have to order the 3/4 to get the larger thumper blade. Also go back to the gun metal colored hook of earlier versions it was longer, stronger and more sharp with larger barb. Skirts and colors are great as ever. Stick with great components and I would pay $ 12.00 for this fish catching beast !!! Bass , Muskie, Pike love it ! ps if you go back to the large rear blade in the 1/2 ounce version please somehow let consumers know . Thanks !
Missing the thump of the old oneI've used the original tricksters for years. I've never understood how that blade shape made so much thump. I went to replenish and switched to this new brand. It looks the same. It's shaped the same. it weighs the same. But....zero thump. Maybe I got a dud?
