Overview
The kid-brother of the famed Heddon Zara Spook, the Heddon Zara Puppy delivers the same incredible walk-the-dog action, but in a scaled-down profile that bass of all sizes will destroy.
To produce the iconic walking action, simply cast it out and with a bit of slack, begin rhythmically jerking the rod tip while simultaneously reeling. With a little practice, the Heddon Zara Puppy will begin to dance across the surface, calling bass up from a distance and triggering explosive strikes.
Armed with two razor-sharp treble hooks, the Heddon Zara Puppy delivers a 3-inch version of the legendary lure that has been putting bass in the boat for over 75-years.

Great Action, Not so Great Construction.this thing walks amazingly but the construction has been an issue for me. i can twist the screw eye with my fingers and line can slip into it easily. the terminal tackle is garbage also. i wish it had the option of a knocker, but regardless, it’s still a fish catcher.
Awesome little topwaterGreat price on this old school bait. G Finish Shad is my go-to in clear water...it must look like a shad to the fish because they HAMMER it. The paint will wear off after a lot of fish, but just keep chucking it. Stock hooks...junk. Get them off of there IMMEDIATELY.
Awesome bait...except for the hooksThe only thing this bait lacks is good hooks...easy remedy. I replace them with Gamakatsu hooks. (red on the belly & bronze on the tail.) Great in the fall when your fish are keying on smaller baitfish. Schoolies love 'em!

Comments: Great little bait with good action. Light wire hooks, so use a light rod. Matched well to my Tatula 7'1" ML spinning rod. Caught a 3.8lb smallmouth on it last year.

Comments: This puppy walks like a dream and is a good finesse option if the super spook jr is too big to match the local baitfish. This works well in small ponds and is a great multi-species top water lure.

Comments: I love this lure is walks effortlessly, and for a smaller profile i can still cast it a mile. My favorite color is G Finish Shad, great for stained water. Catches lots of fish to big or small!

Comments: Excellent bait for pressured fish. Very easy to walk. Can do short zigs and wide zags depending on rod manipulation. Casts a mile on a M spinning rod. The hooks need replacing asap. In one day I broke off one front treble point and bent the back one. Excellent bait for $5 even with the poor hooks. Wish TW carried the bullfrog color!
