Overview
Designed to resemble a shad-type baitfish, the Hopkins Shorty Spoon features a compact profile and thicker body, which combined with its natural swimming action and scale-like hammered finish, produces an irresistible flash. For over 60 years Hopkins has thrived on a single objective - to make the best lures on the market. That's why all of their spoons are forged from solid stainless steel stock - not cast or stamped like other spoons. The Shorty is also heavier than conventional spoons of the same length, allowing it to cast much further. Extremely versatile as well, it's a proven choice for deep water jigging, and even trolling and ice-fishing. Available in gold for stained water conditions and chrome for clear water conditions, every Hopkins Shorty Spoon is equipped with a durable stainless steel split ring and a super sharp Mustad Durasteel treble hook.
Proudly manufactured and assembled in the USA.

Comments: The Hopkins spoon has been around for ages. I finally decided to give it a try and it was a blast . Dressed the bait with a feathered treble and fished in 46 feet. Water temp was 44 degrees. Found a huge school of bait and dropped the bait into the school. Most bites came on the drop. Bass we spitting up bait that looked just like the spoon.
