Overview
Another premium import from Japan, the Imakatsu Gillroid offers unmatched attention-to-detail and a number of rigging options that will put it at the forefront of your swimbait arsenal. Included with two soft plastic tails, the Imakatsu Gillroid can be quickly modified to change its swimming action from a traditional gliding movement (flat tail) to a more pronounced thumping action (boot tail).
Out of the package, the Imakatsu Gillroid possesses a slow-float, but can easily be altered with lead and tungsten strips to deliver the perfect amount of suspension and orientation. Offering two different rigging options, the Imakatsu Bassroid features a line-tie at the nose and underneath the chin, so anglers can get the desired angle-of-pull for their application.
Covered with an incredibly realistic 3D finish, the Imakatsu Gillroid features a seamless fin design, 3D eyes, subtle gill plate accents, and a perfectly sized profile, all of which work together to produce one of the most genuine bluegill imitation on the market. Truly a trophy hunter’s delight, the Imakatsu Gillroid blends detail, performance, and quality all-in-one must-have package.

Comments: It's horrible the hooks get caught on line on each other it cuts like it has a chunk missing the hooks rusted so fast used it one day in my pond all freshwater and I dried the bait off when I was done came back to my rod three days later hooks on the lure the splitshots and the lure it's self was completely rusted

Comments: I have both the standard gillroid and the jr. They both perform and catch you fish. But for me the jr. ALWAYS produces big fish. I used the jr. in south America and caught me a 33lb. black bass on it. The toothy fish destroyed the lure but was well worth it. It also catches me those big bass in small farm ponds that are highly fished n pressured water when most they wont hit most other baits. I'm so glad to see TW starting to carry more of the Japanese import lures that I used to have to buy off a popular online Japan tackle shop and pay a lot for shipping. Once again thank you TW!!!!

Comments: Personally I wouldn't pay that much for any fishing lure. However, they do lol effective.

Comments: Great looking & solid bait that produces. The only design flaw is flaw is that the back hook is to close to the replaceable tail & will wear a hole on flat tail & cause rio in bottom of paddle tail . Simple fix was to cut top hook off treble
