Overview
Large, yet compact, soft, yet durable, the Jackall Archelon offers the best qualities from each end of the spectrum to give anglers the ideal bait for exploring heavy cover. Measuring 4.5” long, the Jackall Archelon is designed with a thin body, so it can slip through cover easily, but moves more than enough water to grab the attention of bass, even in the dim light environment beneath matted vegetation.
When a larger presence is desired, the Jackall Archelon is molded with a cavity that allows for easy and seamless insertion of a rattle. Firm enough to ensure durability, but soft enough to allow for clean hook sets, the Jackall Archelon is specially formulated for flipping and pitching, but versatile enough to adorn oversized jigs as well. Offered in a number of proven big-bass colors, the Jackall Archelon checks all of the boxes for a powerhouse of a pitching and flipping bait.

Comments: as mentioned in the other reviews, these are a fantastic flipping/punching bait but they are also straight money on a 3/8 or 1/2 oz. swing head. I retrieve them as fast as I can and still maintain bottom contact. Hold on though, the strikes are vicious!

Comments: Awesome creatures! The hollow belly perfect for heavy gauge straight shank punching hooks while the nose end being thicker, great design. Slithers through the mats and also makes a great jig trailer. Will be buying more!

Comments: This bait is the go to for punching, no doubt. Wasn't getting any bites punching until I put this bait on. First fish on the archelon was a 7.5 pounder at Contra Loma reservoir. Highly recommend the black with red flake.

Comments: The green pumpkin candy have been a great go to for power fishing! The bigger largemouth seem to smash it better than any other craw I've used. Highly recommended!

Comments: This is my go to punching and flipping. If the head gets cut up just bite a piece off the top and throw your hook back in it. Max I got out of one bait was 6 fish and that is REALLY good compared to competitors where you max get two fish from one soft plastic. Bit pricey but its worth it and the BlueGill/GPP colors are my absolute go to.

Comments: Went punching down on Toho with these, the durability on these is just amazing. I think I used two the whole day and that is 10+fish a bait PUNCHING! Best part is adding a rattle into the hollow spot on this bait. 5/5 HIGHLY recommend.

Comments: I use these baits with a 3/8 once pegged tungsten, works great for flipping and casting. It is very durable, subtle, but still moves a lot of water. It has treated me very well flipping docks and light cover. The JL Craw color is dynamite in dingy water, and the green pepper is ideal for cleaning water. Highly recommended!

Comments: These baits definitely have the durability that the other Jackall products do not have. Made of a much tougher plastic material. I really like the heavy thickness of the body compared to other beaver style baits, which adds to the durability and accommodates a 5/0 or even a 6/0 flipping hook. Its also hollowed out to allow for a rattle, which is another bonus. The only issue is that these things really stink! And i don't mean that sweet craw fishy smell that other Jackall baits have. Maybe its the tougher plastic material or some new super concentrated amino acid scent. Its the smell like when you take a whiff of a jar of Flintstones vitamins. Something like that. I soak mine in Jack's Juice craw and the fish don't seem to shy away from them. Good pitching bait on a 1oz tungsten T rig.
