Overview

Designed as a technical big bait to be fished carefully around structure and cover, the Jackall Blast Bone Swimbait can be worked slowly near the surface with an enticing walk-the-dog style action to appeal to fish sheltering within cover or shaded areas. Built with a single-jointed body that bends quickly with every twitch of the rod tip, the special connection adds a unique body roll and wobbling action to produce an attractive flash and flickering effect from the premium paint finishes.

Equipped with a wide polycarbonate lip to enable its enticing side-to-side swim action, the lip also serves to apply the brakes so it can walk in place with minimal movement distance. Complete with a spare tail and stainless-steel rigging pins, the Jackall Blast Bone Swimbait has a flat body and flat soft tail to create a strong water vortex that grabs the attention of opportunistic fish looking for a substantial meal.

Would have been a good bait, poor QCI really wanted to like this bait, but it has some serious flaws that hold it back. Now for those of you who are unfarmiliar with JDM lipped baits, this is NOT a wake bait. These are made for a technique called 'dead walking', where you will walk the bait subsurface with very light twitches. Very difficult to do even for experienced swimbait guys, too much and you don't get enough of a walking action, too much and the bait will literally do a barrel roll. The real problem came when days into fishing it, the tail section started to develop a crack along the top despite me never casting it into rocks or throwing it in a place where it would end up getting damaged. Very disappointed in Jackall, would have been a very good sleeper bait. I ended up returning it.

Comments: If you liked the original Click Bone bait... This is a poor remake of it. It's serviceable... But doesn't have that same sound or draw on retrieve.

From: SwimbaitUniverse Stooge: Bumpkin, KY 3/25/23

Comments: Not too impressed with this bait. It almost rolls over completely when being retrieved with any real speed. I guess it could be used as more of like a topwater bait with a stop and go retrieve but outside of that it really doesn't have much of a use for me.

From: Lee: Birmingham, AL 12/31/22

Comments: Can't believe they have plenty of them here in the States (and cheaper)! I bought 5 from Japan/Taiwan and even in there it was very hard to find one. This is my best performance baits. I caught 10+ 5-7 lbers on it last year. It's technically a wakebait but it really shines at deadwalking in and around cover. I catch more fish and better fish on it than DRT Tiny Klash. The back section close to tail is easier to be broken compared to other hard baits. I have one completely broken into pieces and another one missing a small portion but still operational. But I have caught 100+ fish on it, and with this price who cares. Not my secret bait any more!
