Overview
The Jerry Rago Top Hook BV 3D Swimbait is the top hook version of the bait Byron Velvick used in route to his wire-to-wire victory at the 2010 Bassmaster Elites Golden State Shoot Out on Clear Lake, California. Responsible for nearly all of his weighed-in fish, including his 10-lb bruiser on Day 1, Velvick used the BV 3D to maintain a substantial lead over the rest of the field. Jerry Rago designed this bait especially for Velvick and Skeet Reese for Clear Lake, and Velvick provided key input, as well as, his name to the bait (BV-Byron Velvick). Featuring incredible detail compared to most other swimbaits, it's a 3D swimbait in a previously 2D world. Each bait is also equipped with a super sharp Owner top hook. Jerry Rago has long been known for creating swimbaits that seem to catch fish when others can't, and the Jerry Rago Top Hook BV 3D Swimbait is another winning creation.

Comments: I purchases this bait and figured I'd give it a shot. Tested it in the water for about 10 casts. Looks good, runs deep which I was liking for my deep lake. Never used it again. I looked recently and one is gone and the face is split from the mouth and about a half to 3/4 inch back straight through the body. It's like the mouth will open like a real fish now. I have the light hitch color and it's also separating where the brown and the blue meet near the tail. This thing has been sitting at home. It was in my bag for 2 trips and then left at the house. I emailed customer service a month ago and heard nothing. Be aware before buying.

Comments: the bait looks really nice in the water. The only complaint is that after about ten cast an eye fell off.
