Overview
Designed to keep urchin-style baits firmly attached to the hook, the Jewel Baits Freak-O Rig features a special profile that consists of a curved stopper on one end, an open slot hook, and six aggressive barbs to firmly grab onto soft plastic. To use, start by fully inserting the Freak-O Rig into the center ball of an urchin bait. With the slotted end protruding out the opposite side, insert the hook point through both the slot and a bit of the outer skin of the center ball, sliding the rig past the bend of the hook up onto the straight part of the shank. Measuring 17 millimeters (approx 0.66-inches), the Jewel Baits Freak-O Rig is compatible with many urchin baits and both single and treble hooks.

Soft leadBe careful with the eyelet that you run the hook through. Used a straightened out paper clip with a 30lb braid leader to run through a dice bait, and on the other end I would tie a palamor knot to the weight so I could pull it through the dice. This method works if you can't get the weight up inside the dice easily, however if you pull the knot too tight on the weight it would eat through the lead ruining the weight. If you tie a knot don't pull it down as tight as you normally would. Otherwise weights look and work fine. Would like to see a 1/4 and 5/16 option.
