Overview
Redesigned and better than ever, the Keitech Tungsten Football Jig Version 2 was made for deep water fishing. The Keitech Tungsten Football Jig Version 2 features a tungsten compound head is thirty percent harder than lead and dramatically increases sensitivity. The head has also been left raw and unpainted to provide a neutral matte finish and enhanced durability.
The hand tied one hundred strand skirt of the Keitech Tungsten Football Jig Version 2 is produced using Keitech’s exclusive SR-40 silicone. This silicone material is super soft and has comparable action to traditional flat rubber skirted jigs. A double barbed keeper system also holds soft plastic trailers firmly in place and eliminates the need for any messy adhesives. The ten strand fiber weed guard is hand glued to ensure perfect alignment to the custom Gamakatsu 2/0 hook. Offered in an assortment of carefully selected colors, the Keitech Tungsten Football Jig Version 2 delivers quality and performance that is a cut above the rest.

Comments: This jig is amazing. Very sensitive and solid hookup. The guard isn't very strong but I'm not throwing a finesse football head in brush. Key word, FINESSE. Pay attention to the wire gauge when choosing your line. If you looked at the hook and thought to use it on your normal heavy fast jig setup, you deserve to bend out the hook.

Comments: This is essentially a finesse jig, downsize your line and rod before you complain about the hook bending out on fish. It fishes really well on 15lb and below and I have yet to have one bend out. The skirt material and tungsten head are top notch. Up north absolutely nothing beats these jigs. I really like them with ned baits as trailers, fish love these, and this bait gave me confidence in a jig.

Comments: Awesome Fish Catcher !!! Using the Model 2 on the river with tremendous results... Pair it with the 3.3" Fat Swing Impact for a presentation that's second to none!!

Comments: This jig gets bit. That said there's a few issues I've had. 1. the weed guard constantly either falls out or breaks. 2. The hook is not the best had one break in the boat while bending it back to shape and one break that cost me a fish.

Comments: Best jig on the market for smallmouth. There's just something about it that they can not stand. Only complaint is the hook likes to bend out but using lighter line should solve that problem.

Comments: I pair these jigs with Ned baits and small swimbaits. They're the bomb. The Smallmouth love them.

Comments: I've been reluctant to throw a tungsten jig for a while, but I'm glad I gave it a try. Love the smaller profile which makes it almost like a finesse jig, and I can feel confident in throwing heavier jigs in deeper water while not worrying about the size. Holds paint well after being drug across rock for days, and no complaints about the hook.

Comments: Great jig all around. However, if you throw this thing around brush, you are going to get snagged. I really wish the weed guard was a little more beefy. Other than that, great jig.

Comments: Having used the tungsten swim jigs the last couple seasons and have been looking to upgrade my football jig game. These jigs are top notch, quality skirts and great sensitivity. These jigs outperformed others that I've dragged around local PA rivers.

Comments: Without a doubt my go to football jig for tapering points. Smallies, Spots and Largies cannot resist this hopped or dragged, pair it with the 3.6 Crazy Flapper also from Keitech and hold on

Comments: This jig is absolutely amazing. I fish a highly pressured highland reservoir that has lots of big smallmouth and spotted bass and this jig just gets bit. When it's tough and they won't eat much this jig is what catches me fish and puts numbers on the board. I would highly recommend this jig.

Comments: This jig works great for pressured smallmouth. It's small size will definitely catch them when the bite is tough. Big fish, small fish, doesn't matter. It works. The tungsten head helps you maintain a close feel with the bottom and the hook will hold them.

Comments: Best jig I ever fished. Pair it with your favorite Keitech trailer, and hold on. Pure smallmouth candy.

Comments: Keitech jigs are some of the best tungsten and finesse jigs out there. I have read people are complaining about the hook and all, but this is a true finesse jig. An with all things finesse you end up getting a lighter wire hook then usual, which can be very important. This jig is amazing in cold water, especially since I live in since Michigan. Generally, when its cold you want a a light hook because the fish are only nudging and nibbling the lure for better hook penetration. Yes, the jig is tiny and keitech says is 30% smaller, buts its really 50% because the head is the same size a lead football jig head from gamakatsu. The only thing wish this jig had was a red color option to match crawfish in the spring.

Comments: This jig is not just for smallmouth. I use the heck out of it out west here and have cashed many checks thanks to this jig. Our very clear and pressured lakes means we have to downsize and this jig knocks it out. The hook is perfect I hope they never change it. Its strong and holds a good edge. Overall a perfect jig for any application.

Comments: All the products ive used from keitech are of high quality and this jig is no exception. The head is just a bare tungsten matte finish so you don't have worry about paint chipping.I don't have any baits with a silicone skirt that come close to how soft this material is.The bait keeper work well with everything Ive put on it.Its got a thin wire super sticky gami that is protected by a somewhat sparse but very effective weed guard.I don't how someone could tie one of these on without adjusting the drag then fishing it like a flipping jig and bend the hook, then complain that the hook is weak.Ive caught a good amount of quality fish up to just over 7lbs and never bent the hook more then a few mm.You can use casting or spinning gear,as long your using a rod with some "tip" in it and a reel with a smooth drag that is set right your not going to bend the hook or tear it from the fishes mouth.

Comments:Good head, terrible hook, the hook bends out very easy and if this jig gets snagged up the hook will sure bend. 4/10. Use for only finesse jig fishing, tiny trailer.

Comments:I've become that jig guy! Jigs have become my confidence bait year round and I generally fish Dirty jigs but this fall when the water temp started its slow decline I wanted a smaller profile jig with a great hook. The Tungsten head with the Gamakatsu hook has been KILLER. I'm also a Zman guy and the Hula stick trailer seemed like it would do the job and boy was I right. 1/4 oz brown/purple with a Hula stick in California craw tied to an NRX 893 is MONEY! tie one on and hang on!

Comments:Like this jig for smallies on Lake Ontario & Oneida Lake. I dress it out with a 2.8 Fat Swing Impact or a 3" Easy Shiner, cast it out, crawl it along the bottom and it flat out catches em

Comments:So.... The only difference that I can tell from the description between the version 2 and the version 1 is that this version 2 has a double barb bait keeper, and the version 1 does not. Probably because they changed the plastic and design of the Kietech Little Spiders that were originally made to pair with the version 1.Thats it? You'd think that if they were going to do anything at all to improve the version 1, it would have been to beef up the hook for guys who want a quality tungsten football jig for heavier fishing applications.Yet, its still the best finesse football jig for smallmouth that I have ever used.Still hoping for a version 3 with a Mustad black nickel 4/0 hook.or something similar.

Comments:This bait is really small this is microscopic compared to normal jigs but works pretty good for smallies
