Comments: I've never spent this much on a spinning reel so I decided to give it a shot and I am not disappointed at all so far. The lightest reel I've ever held. Drag is amazing. I paired it on 6ft medium st. croix premier for Creek and river smallmouth, awesome combo super light.

Comments: First Impression Only - just received these (one 200, one 300) today. Wanted to provide some immediate feedback to those who may be considering them. I've been pleased with my HyperMag's (first Lew's spinning reels that have "measured up" to high standards), and had similar hopes for these Custom Lites. Won't know that until I get to fish them. They are smooth handling, including the drag and balanced - that's the good news. They "look good" in matte grey, if that matters. The 300 weighs 7.0oz vs the listed 6.9oz (1.5%) and the 200 weighs 6.9oz vs the listed 6.6oz (4.5%). The biggest point for immediate feedback is that the foot of each reel seems to be thicker, wider, and less curved than all other spinning reels I have fished - it will likely take a bit of "work" to fit them to rods with narrow and/or shallow reel seats (definitely the case for Dobyns Champion XP's that I test fitted them to).
