Comments: Got the 6'6" one piece ML for finesse work and small drop shotting with a 2500 size Daiwa Fuego spooled with 8lb FC. Rod works well for finess but isn't sensitive enough to feel subtle drop shot hits and has very low backbone for a medium light. Reel seats and guides are typical for the price point.

Comments: After a few years of use my medium heavy rod was braking off rigs while casting , come to find out I had a guide that was chipped and causing the line to snap when I cast , it works great other than that, I use it for my fluke rod and it's not real sensitive and it's more soft like a med instead of med heavy, I guess you get what you pay for but I'm not complaining it works well after all these yrs.

Comments: I needed a budget spinning rod to fish grubs and finesse plastics, so I picked up the Lews 6'6" medium one piece SG1. I was really surprised at the build quality for a $40 rod (thank you TW, for the summer sale). Really nice, everything finished properly, aligned correctly and the cork handle is the icing on this sweet cake. Rod fishes 6 and 8lb mono perfectly, is light, strong and very responsive. I could kick myself in the butt for spending so much more on other, higher end rods that fish exactly the same. This series is a bargain, plain and simple. Get 'em while you can!

Comments: I have the 6'6" med lt and the 6'6" med spinning rods, the med lt great ned rig rod. The med rod is great for tubes, grubs small swimbaits. Both have great action, love the cork handles, both set up with older Lews SS 400 a Spinning reels. I have fished Kistlers in the past, these are outstanding rods at a fraction of the cost.

Comments: the Laser SG1 is a fine rod in 7' MH fast, i put a Diawa Revro 4000 with it and it's unstoppable t-rigged on those heavy angry bass, really nice rod and for the money you can't go wrong

Comments: I got the 7 foot medium action rod and I like it for finesse fishing. Lot smaller than I expected, but still works great!
