TW product availability and shippingOrdered a prop for my Lowrance ghost trolling motor, received in 4 days. Much appreciated!
Ghost PropProp holds up better than it seems it would. Real good in grass pads but like any of them wood, rocks will eventually Nick or break it.
Replacement propLowrance seems to break easy , so always keep a spare
Cheap plastic propTerrible prop. If you hit anything with it- it will break. Cheap made.
Happened to me, tooHad a prop completely split in half at the hub and fall off while in use. Thought that maybe I didn't lock the nut down snug enough, and maybe the nut spun off....nope.
I am an offshore guy, and it has never hit anything under the surface. Could understand it if I beat it up from time to time....wasn't a knick on it. Take it off from time to time to make sure there is no line behind it, but that's it. It's like the Fury prop for trolling motors, apparently.
Ghost PropPresently this replacement prop is the only one available to fit a ghost, unfortunate!
Great performance but terrible durability.
Brittle junkI’ve went through 5 over the last 2 years, if it touch’s a rock it’s game over..
Lowrance propProp is made out of cheap brittle plastic. I fish shallow water mostly. I have purchased 4 Lowrance props already in just 3 years. I got a motor guide prop that has lasted 30 years without breaking. The Lowrance ghost is a good trolling motor. Why put a such a prop on a good motor.
Thank youThank you TW for carrying the Lowrance parts. To the producer of the part it needs to be more durable. Broke the wings tips off first of each prop sides wings and cracked off one wing totally in normal use. I owned a Minn Kota and never broke or lost part of my prop with the same type usage.
Prop constructionProp needs to be made from a stronger material or make it thicker.

Comments: Just broke my 2nd one of the year. Never hit anything with the last prop only lasted one day. Called lowrance they told me I was only the second person in two years to have a problem with it. People need to start calling they so maybe they will fix the problem

Comments: Bought this prop as a back-up. As the old saying goes, it's better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it.
From: Herb: Willow Spring, NC 7/5/23
Comments: Break very easy. Make sure you keep a couple of spares.

Comments: Prop # 4 after a year!! A buddy told me MK makes a tougher prop for Ghost. I will get a couple after my last 2 regular ones get chipped off by some long or branch..
From: Doug: Florida 3/11/23
Comments: Ghost prop needs to be a little stronger. Other then that, I keep a spare on the boat and you have no other choice but this prop on the market.
From: Sergio: AZ 3/1/23
Comments: Im a Lowrance fanboy but their props are sub standard...I just ordered my 5th&6th..if you fish around gravel or rocks you're gonna need backup...

Comments: Best trolling motor, I have ever used Quiet. When you hit spot lock your boat doesn't move.
From: JOHN: himphill 2/16/23
Comments: Have had many rigs over 42 years! Ghost is terrific but the prop needs to be 50% tougher. 68 engine hours on new Nitro and on 3rd prop at $51 each!
From: Doug: Palatka, Fl 2/10/23
Comments: I, like many others here find the ghost prop too delicate for real shallow water use. Now, having said that; I spend nearly all my fishing time on a deeper structures where hitting solid objects is seldom a factor so this current prop is very nearly perfect for my use. My fix for this issue would be for Lowrance to provide a sturdier prop for those who primarily fish skinny water. It may be too late if they don't act soon as there will be an after market solution soon that gets the jump on them.
From: Stu: CA 2/5/23
Comments: I am thoroughly satisfied with the ghost but the props are not built to withstand any shallow water contact. once they get even a little beat up they are quite noisy. On the third prop in two years just to keep it quiet. Not withstanding the fifty dollars for a piece of plastic! Stu Ca. With a clean prop and in reasonably deeper water the ghost is a terrific trolling motor.

Comments: I love my ghost Really but a a big FAIL on Lowrance's part for this poorly made prop. These break way too easy and should be redesigned and made with different plastic that has more flexibility. I've had to replace 3 in 2 years. The bent end of the blade is so brittle if you hit anything it will bust right off.

Comments: It's a good design just need to make the material thicker I fish the delta and if you touch a rock the prop is done. Love my trolling motor.
From: David: Antioch CA 12/1/22
Comments: I fish shallow tidal water and I'm on my second prop since July. They are thin and do not hold up like my old minn kota props.
From: Bruce: Pennsylvania 10/14/22
Comments: Just bought it as a spare. The prop doesn't look as sturdy as Miii Kota. Time will tell how good it is after fishing some more.
From: Dean: Hixson, Tn. 8/1/22
Comments: Great trolling motor but be prepared and have an extra prop on you at all times. I have had the Ghost for 1.5 seasons and I am on my 4th prop. If you fish shallow muddy water, its inevitable you are going to hit a rock or two. Kiss the prop goodbye. The props are FRAGILE- they crack way too easy. I had fortrex with the same prop on it for over 4 years.
From: Nick: Unknown 5/27/22
Comments: As many have said, they are thin and if you fish shallow and around rocks, you're going to chip it, but it is a great prop. Just carry extras.
From: Kevin: North Carolina 4/30/22
Comments: The props are really thin, so make sure you always have a spare in the boat. I Broke the first cinching down the travel cover, broke the second hitting a submerged log. So now I carry 2 spares.
From: Eric: Indian Mound, TN 1/29/22
Comments: Great prop for open water, not so good around rocks or hard objects. On my 4th prop the blades break way too easy as they are made of thin hard plastic.
From: Jeff: Massachusetts 10/18/21
Comments: Hit a pile of rocks recently while fishing. Could tell something was off. Didn't go as fast. Ordered a new prop while on the water... had it before next fishing trip. Easy to replace... now runs like new.
From: Annette: Fort Campbell, KY 9/15/21
Comments: Can't wait for an after market replacement for this Prop. The Plastic is way too Brittle and can't take even the slightest hit on a log or rock. Please someone make one!
From: Robert: Dumfires, VA 9/14/21
Comments: The prop is junk I have never broke a trolling motor prop in 20 years of bass fishing this is my third prop on the ghost I am really thinking of going back to the ultrex.
From: Unknown: 8/27/21
Comments: I fish the California Delta and love the prop - great when it comes to chopping through weeds. I'm on the water 4 days a week and run the ghost hard - just replaced the prop after a year and a half due to dings from rock - the old prop is still useable so I now have a backup prop
From: Unknown: 8/5/21
Comments: Tips of prop chip and break easily. Lowrance needs to fix this prop. Also you can't hardly find replacements.
From: Unknown: 8/2/21
Comments: Absolute Junk. these props shatter. I ran a Minn Kota for 20 years and NEVER broke a blade. Yes they might dent or get dull, but NEVER crack off. I am on my third Ghost prop with only 14 actual fishing days on it! I regret buying the ghost so far.
From: Nick: Chicago 7/27/21
Comments: Great prop. Glad I purchased this one due to its ability to cut through grass and Lilly pads. Very durable.
From: Charles: Clarksville, AR 6/17/21
Comments: Seems small and thin but does a great job after about 10 trips. I have one as a spare just in case. I'd like to see an aftermarket one come out that was a tad bigger and tougher. But maybe the current design is what makes it more efficient. And on my 20' aluminum it travels at 4.6 mph.
From: Arthur: Texas 6/14/21
Comments: Thin blades break a bit easy. I haven't broke a blade in more than 30 years. 17mm nut isn't conducive to easy swap out on the water.
From: Unknown: 3/15/21
Comments: Being it's the only prop available that I've found it's hard to compare it to anything else doe the Ghost. With that being said, I haven't had any issues with it yet. Been running it for 4 months and have whacked rock and hasn't chipped as others have had problems with. Obviously it's a real possibility but I ordered another one as a spare just in case. So far...so good and I'm happy with it.
From: Jason: Central California 2/12/21
Comments: Love the trolling motor..prop is another thing. Ive been through 3 of them..on my 4th. Dam prop chipped from my custom boat cover!!??
From: Mike: Massachusetts 11/4/20
Comments: The Blade is thicker than Minn-Kota and MG. Built like the tank it goes on.
From: Kel: Kimberly, Idaho 10/21/20
Comments: Although the Ghost trolling motor is awesome on saving power just as they say, Lowrance blew it on the prop. The prop may be great in open eater, but sneak towards shore and accidently get to shallow in a slightly rocky bottom area... Yikes! The prop chips and scrapes easily! Already replaced mine once and need a new one now after one outing! Not made out of a good plastic for bumping an occasional highland reservoir rocks.
