Overview
Joining Lucky Craft’s legendary line-up of jerkbaits, the Lucky Craft Lightning Pointer 110SP Jerkbait utilizes the proven performance of the original Lightning Pointer but now able to perfectly suspend when paused for those times when the fish are heavily pressured or lethargic. Internally equipped with special brass weights, Lucky Craft Lightning Pointer 110SP Jerkbait delivers bullet-like casts and features a low center of gravity, which allows the bait to suspend in a neutral position during a stop and go retrieve to tempt wary and less aggressive fish into striking. Its tapered tail design also creates a side-to-side wobbling action at the beginning of each retrieve that accurately mimics the movements of a real baitfish trying to erratically swim away from predators.
Incredibly productive in warm and cold water, the Lucky Craft Lightning Pointer 110SP Jerkbait’s perfect suspending action makes it an ideal candidate for both fast retrieves with short pauses and slow retrieves with long pauses depending on the mood of the fish. Finished with premium treble hooks and covered in a highly detailed paint job, the Lucky Craft Lightning Pointer 110SP Jerkbait continues Lucky Craft’s legacy as the best fish-catching jerkbaits ever developed.

Comments: Suspends perfect, fish love it. Great quality for the price point. Super sharp hooks great action. No complaints here.

Comments: I picked these up on a recommendation. Most anglers would use these to catch bass. In my case, we used these to catch big Brown trout on a river system. They work great. These do float on the pause so you might need to add different hooks to keep this from happening.

Comments: I "discovered" jerkbaits this year. I am a pond/bank fisherman primarily and I never bothered with them. I'm addicted to top water. But this bait allows me to show the bass something a bit different and I work the buoyancy issue with suspending strips or a little lead wire if need be. Normally where I am fishing I don't need to get too deep in the water column. I now have a number of different LC jerkbaits. My favorite is the pointer 100, but they all work. I've also purchased a few Vision 110s and they are really good baits no doubt. The LCs are obviously not 110s particularly in this model. But all have a time and a place and these are not quite so expensive.

Comments: Sure, they float slowly, but its only worth noting if they dent catch fish...for a 10 dollar bait, they are one of those bang for the buck jerk baits...superb action to them and they get bit....one of the better jerks out there IMO....slender profile is becoming something you see less and less......they don't dive as deep as advertised, but they remind me of the slender pointer...which has a cult following they are so good. Love these lightning pointers!

Comments: I use for saltwater on the west coast. I like the colors and the shape. Like others say it does float but only if you're not retrieving. When you retrieve it dives down a couple feet

Comments: Best fish catching jerkbait I own, even caught fish in shallow water with them, the hooks don't let go either, you can't go wrong here

Comments: This bait casts well and the action is superb. Is great for both small and largemouth, will add more to the portfolio.

Comments: Very good quality for the price. I was hesitant to try it because of how much cheaper it was than other Lucky Craft baits but it is good. It is definitely not as good as other jerkbaits but it suffices. It has pretty thin plastic so it could possibly break but so far it hasn't. Hooks are sticky, paint looks nice, over all a good bait. It is also made in Japan which is nice.

Comments: The price was right on these and lucky craft is a very well known brand. Thought I would give it a try because it seemed like a decent deal. Boy was a dead wrong. I should have read the reviews before I bought this. It floats to the top quicker than a squarebill. It's like I'm fishing with a piece of foam. Very disappointed, it still floats to the top even with the slightly larger trebles I had laying around. This should not be considered a suspending jerkbait by any means. Bite the bullet, buy a vision 110 and never look back.

Comments: Just as good of bait as other higher priced jerkbaits.

Comments: This is my go-to bait for suspended fish in the winter. It gets bites when nothing else will.
From: Michael: Fredericksburg, VA 1/28/21
Comments: I can reel mine down to 6 foot and give it a twitch it will be back to the surface in under 3 seconds, going to try heavier hooks, is not a suspending jerkbait as far as fishing it straight out of the box!

Comments: It floats, but nothing a couple of suspend strips didn't cure. First fish was a 25 pound striper and I've caught several nice bass too. Lucky Craft quality is hard to beat for the $10 it cost. I'll be getting more.

Comments:One of the best jerk bait out there to own. Love it been getting this jerk bait the past months! Great bait for bass and stripers! Recommend

Comments: Can't beat LC hard body baits. Great profile to this jerkbait and as always u get the great LC colors. Great erratic action on this thing. Comparing to the MB 110 is like comparing an Acura to a Ferrari. If ur LC floats too much add a little lead tape that TW sells. Awesome color and action. I love it!

Comments: I purchased two lucky craft lighting pointers as they were less expensive than the flash pointers. The lightning pointers are supposed to be suspending. They are not suspending the rise like a submarine coming to the surface. I had to modify the hooks (larger hooks) and it now is very slow sinking/suspending. the modification has not affected the action on the bait. I have caught allot of walleye since the modification. If lucky craft would reimburse me for the hooks that would be great.

Comments:Like others, I was looking for a less expensive alternative to the Vision series.Cons;65-73 water they slowly rise, not a wide variety of colors.Pros;after a jerk they have a nice little wiggle to them, well made, cast like a bullet, good hardware, really fair priced, durable, best yet...they catch fish.I use the Visions as well but this bait has a little more action.Shows them something a little different. Good buy.

Comments: It does what it supposed to do, I do recommend changing the hardware out for water temperature.

Comments:Lucky Craft 110sp I own a few fish them in Calif Aqueduct target Stripe Bass great action caught Large Mouth & Striper with it I rather throw the 112 Slender Pointer if I'm doin Lucky Craft I've caught so many Striper & Large Mouth in Duct with it. Right now I really don't use LC no more I throw Megabass 110 or Duo Realis 120sp. Buy the Megabass Cost More trust me no comparison suppends perfect don't float up

Comments: This stuff floats better than canoe! There are no cheap alternatives to the expensive high end stuff like Megabass! Period.
From: Antonius: TX 7/14/20
Comments: Love the action on these just wish they would actually suspend.
From: Justin: TN 4/22/20
Comments:I was hoping I wasn't going to have the same experience as the previous two reviewers, but unfortunately mine floats as well, and not just a slow float, it floats up pretty quick! Very disappointing as a big lucky craft guy, how they can advertise this as suspending is beyond me. But if you want a jerk that floats, look no further!
From: Zach: Wisconsin 4/7/20
Comments:Used it first time this weekend. Looking to find cheaper alternative to Megabass. Mine floats as well, doesn't suspend at all.
From: Daniel: North Carolina 3/16/20
