Worst jig head I've ever used. Don't buy!I have never left a review this bad but these are the absolute worst. I purchased a bunch of these in multiple colors to hand tied my own skirts. There is so much paint inside hook eye and it's a very rough paint. Some is so sharp it will cut your line just cinching the knot. Some were so full of paint I couldn't pass 17lb line through. The paint is so hard using a hook to clean the hole is almost impossible. Even after it leaves behind little jagged pieces. The worst part is some look ok but inside the hook eye a little ridge is formed that is almost impossible to notice. After multiple line breaks on the hook set I examined further to figure it out. Can't get those fish back unfortunately. I lost a good bit of money on these. Too late to return them cause I have already tied skirts on them. Thread lost, skirt material lost and worst of all Bass swam off with these jigs stuck in them!
Bill Lowen swim jigsI bye Bill Lowen swim jigs in the 1/4, 5/16, and 3/8 weights. I bye jig skirts in about 5 different color patterns to build whatever color and weight of jig I wish to fish. I fish jigs 98 percent of the time and the jigs holdup great.
First impressionJust got these and haven’t fished them yet, but I’m not impressed with the hooks on these jig heads. Much smaller than the hooks on my Boss jig head. They claim to be 4/0, the same as Boss, but are much smaller! I will probably send these back, as I fish braid on my swim jigs and don’t trust that these won’t bend on the hook set.
