Comments: I currently own 4 of the BIS-664ML. I use these rods for a ton of my travel fishing because you can take them on planes in your luggage so easily, and they really punch above their weight. The only time the tip broke was when I was bridge fishing in New Orleans and a fish put too much strain on it. But I've caught 5-15lbs surgeonfish, tang, mangrove snappers, jack crevalle, cornetfish, 10lbs largemouth, and more on this rod. It's become one of my favorites, even though I own many higher end / one piece rods too. I even hooked up with a ~6ft barracuda on this rod, though it obviously broke me off :) My care tip is: wax those rod ferrules. With 4 pieces, it's even more important that you do that. And: take care of the tip piece, it's the main piece that has some risk of breaking. But I've used these rods for years at this point and only one tip break, which was absolutely my fault. It's great for bottom fishing (e.g. carolina rig, free rig) and actually works pretty decently as a jerkbait rod. I throw Megabass Vision 110s on it pretty well. I also own the BIC-664MH, which is a casting travel rod that doesn't seem available here yet. It's really great. It's rated heavier, for 1/4-1oz lures, and again, is a travel champ. Glad to see these finally making their way to the US!
