Overview

Delivering the high level of detail and craftsmanship that Mattlures baits are known for, the Mattlures Meat Head Series Swimbait is built for attacking the top of the water column and provoking bites from trophy-caliber bass. Molded with a highly realistic body shape and lifelike anatomical details, the Mattlures Meat Head Series Swimbait floats on the surface and is fitted with a large bill, which generates an aggressively smooth and natural waking action with a thumping feedback that bass love. The Mattlures Meat Head Series Swimbait is ideal for any time of the year that bass are targeting prey near the surface and it works especially well around ambush points like docks, overhanging trees, boulders, and submerged weedbeds.

Built to handle the largest and most aggressive bass, the Mattlures Meat Head Series Swimbait is made from an extremely durable resin that can withstand bone-crushing strikes. It is also outfitted with premium Owner treble hooks and 4x split rings to give anglers the power and hook setting performance needed to get big fish to the boat. Covered in a true-to-life paint job with up to 20 plus steps in each pattern to fool even the wariest of fish, the Mattlures Meat Head Series Swimbait offers quality and performance that is a cut above the rest.

Mattlures meatheadIt barely swims correct. 95% of the time it rolls to its side no matter what speed I'm retrieving the bait.. I even went to braid line, same thing. I had 20# mono prior.

Previous Feedback

Comments: I was super excited to get this bait in. It is truly a work of art when it comes to paint and the details. However, when I put it in the water is it floats on its side. It seems like there is too little weight in the belly to get it to float how it needs to. As a result the action is not really all that great.. It swims on its side and almost can't figure out how it wants to swim.. Disappointed to say the least.

Comments: Mine is a different color not offered here and is from probably the very first batch. I can hurl this thing a mile. Let is sit and crawl it back. I have never tried to burn it, but I'm sure I can. It's a beast.

Comments: I've had one for a year or so.  Mine, if reeled at a moderate and faster pace, will roll on its side and stay there.  Tuning didn't adjust it away, so I sanded the bill a bit, it helped a fair bit.  But, even at super super slow speeds, this thing has great action, and it'll get hit doing that.  I'm someone who doesn't mind fishing slow, so I'm happy, but I've got several of Matt's billed hardbody lures and have had issues with all of them.  Love his non-billed floaters the most.  I also can't for the life of me figured out why he's painted these in some of these colors, he has sunfish shaped lures, this doesn't need to be painted like a sunfish, he has shade shaped lures, this doesn't need to be shad colored, he has perch shaped lures, this doesn't need to be perch.  Could have used these, this shape for, sucker, the trouts, and the like.

Comments: I've been a huge fan of Mattlures baits.  Have been using them for almost a decade. I have caught tons of double digits with their baits.  So I was super excited when these came out and ordered me to right away one in the trout color and another in the shad color.  Soon as I got them  I went straight out to the lake to use them tied on the trout color and on my third cast as soon as it hit the water the bait snapped in half!!. But I gave it the benefit of the doubt that it was a defective swimbait.  they sell then tied on the shed color and after about 30 minutes this same thing happened when it hit the water it just snapped right in half. What the hell I was super disappointed.  I have been throwing monster swim baits for over a decade and I'm far from a beginner on how to handle and take care of my swim baits. I have never seen this in my life happened. So I was stuck there with two halves of swim baits and out 200 bucks so I've been trying to contact Mattlures about this and have not gotten any response or help whatsoever for this issue don't think I'm going to be a fan of theirs anymore
