Overview

Developed to be a heavyweight contender in a crowded field, the Megabass Jamaica Boa Buzzbait delivers explosive performance that cannot be ignored. Featuring a loud sonic rattle chamber mounted on the lower shaft arm, it emits a sonic shockwave that invites retaliatory bites from lurking predators. To facilitate long-distance aerial assaults, a rear-weighted head, and the rattle chambers secondary function of limiting blade rotation during flight, combine to aid in searching out targets far and wide.

Boasting a blade that is inspired by the effortlessly powerful movement of Sting Rays, the Manta Prop’s proprietary shape converts water flow to flash, vibration, and sonic force with a fearsome power akin to a turbine engine, making easy prey of elusive targets. Furthermore, to correct the historical weakness of many buzzbaits, the Megabass Jamaica Boa Buzzbait is built with thick gauge high-grade stainless steel wire to take the fight to heavy cover and brutally head-shaking trophies alike. Finished with a Hiramen skirt to create a unique lifelike appearance, the Megabass Jamaica Boa Buzzbait sets itself apart from the rest of the pack with premium and proprietary components from tip to tail.

Fell apart after few hoursI bought 2 of these for a tournament and they both didn't even last a day. Very disappointed considering it's a $15 lures and didn't last 24 hrs.

Good Buzzbait in correct situation. When you are lookin for a big, slow presentation this is the bait. Also has an enticing wobble giving it “secondary” action. I truly wish MB offered a model with a gold blade, hence the 4star rating.

Da BuzzBest buzz I've thrown. The sound is unique in its own way, different than others. It handles great, you can work it the way you want to and not worry about the bait sinking. It's definitely a buzzbait I will throw more with the confidence I've grown to have in it.

Comments: Phenomenal buzz bait. Throws off a different sound and no trailer needed.

From: Adam: Az 7/13/23

Comments: Megabass didn't let down with this product, being a high end product it should be expected to preform well. And this us by far the best buzzbait I've ever thrown.

From: Thomas: Ohio 7/2/23

Comments: Can't beat Megabass on anything the make and this bait is no different, big and loud to get those bass good and angry.

From: Ruby: IA 7/1/23

Comments: This buzz bait catches big fish and it should be known for doing so. However, from my experience the bait kept going to the right after catching a fish. This happened to both of my Jamaica Boas. One is retired after catching multiple 4+ lb fish and the other was donated to a local lake. The wire just bent extremely easy for me and I could never get them to run true again. I also plan on buying more because this is the only buzz bait that has ever worked for me. This bait catches giants.

From: Ray: Tennessee 6/27/23

Comments: Impressive, The bait runs true right out of the box. Makes lots of noise and a good wake. Easy to guide, rolls slow and love the colors. It's the best buzz baits I have ever owned, Also the most expensive.

From: Tim: Greenbrier, TN. 6/16/23

Comments: So far, I'm impressed. It has held up to the abuse of banging it off timber structure. It definitely has a loud, unique sound that has generated strikes.

From: Thomas: Tucson, AZ 5/1/23

Comments: It's a good buzzbait don't get me wrong but the little clacker piece breaks out of place.

From: Jeff: Florida 4/10/23

Comments: I don't mind spending more money on something that works really well. This thing jumps onto the surface quickly and has a unique sound in comparison to other buzzbaits. I catch fatties on this thing.

From: Adam: AZ 11/24/22

Comments: Hands down best buzzbait on the market, little pricey but got me 1st place & big fish first tourney I put it in play. Love fishing buzzbaits & this definitely is my #1 option, runs true sounds great & the bass cannot resist it.

From: Billy : Ballardsville. KY 10/30/22

Comments: I have never spent this much on a buzzbait but let me tell ya it's worth every penny. The noise and vibration it puts off drives the bass crazy. If there is a bass around it will smash this bait. It has great cast ability that goes farther than what I am used too. Glad I picked one up and will be getting a couple more for spring.

From: Barry: Oklahoma 10/23/22

Comments: Worth the extra $$ for a this buzzbait. Runs clean through heavy cover and pads. I love throwing this bait from my kayak in heavily padded ponds. By pointing your rod tip you can easily steer this bait around and over cover.

From: Dan: Connecticut 7/27/22

Comments: Used this buzzbait for 1 day and the skirt fell off which happens however later that same day the blade broke off.

From: charlie: Ca 7/23/22

Comments: Bait looks great runs great but when I needed it not great. Had a big one on in a tournament fought the fish through three Jumps had him pinned good, got him to the boat he made a dive under and the hook snapped off right at the Barb.

From: Kirk: El Dorado KS 6/23/22

Comments: I've been using these for a couple years and I catch absolute pigs. Definitely one of my go-to buzzbaits especially if I'm looking for a kicker. As far as people having trouble with these I don't have the same experience. I've never had any problems with them and I've worn them out.

From: Tom: NJ 5/4/22

Comments: The clacking bead has broken loose and has had to be reglued for the bait to hit. It does track well and makes a good noise when bead is in proper place. Haven't caught a fish on it. Missing my tackle HD buzzer right now. Cost is to high.

From: Jeff: Poplar Bluff, MO 12/16/21

Comments: Tracks well, makes a big racket, and catches tanks. I have several of these and they are my go to Buzzbaits. I also have Buzzbaits from several other companies for different situations, but if there's some ripple in the water and the clarity is moderate to stained, I reach for the Jamaican Boa first. Not sure why others have had issues with them, I've had zero problems with them holding up too or big, fat Texas bass.

From: Andy: Austin, Texas 11/30/21

Comments: The hook broke off just after a few casts; extremely disappointed.

From: Hanz: Benton, WA 11/19/21

Comments: Great buzzbait. Runs true and sounds great. Catches some big bass where ever i use it.

From: Armando: Palm Springs, CA 11/18/21

Comments: I am a huge megabass fan. That said, I will be returning the unopened J.B's. To me they just did not ride on the surface well. just not for me

From: Leonard: Virginia 11/2/21

Comments: Really impressed with this buzzbait. It's overpriced, but the bass seem to really like it, and I have caught some good ones on it.

From: Unknown: 10/30/21

Comments: I had the same problem with the blade getting stuck up the shaft with the ball lodged in crook. Good action when running true. Love the green pumpkin. Tails are so long they get caught on the hook point, lasted two trips. Caught 27 this morning!!

From: Bruce: Virginia 10/22/21

Comments: Blade sticks up top after a while the balls on the wire fall after being bent and when trying to fix it I've had 2 of these buzz baits wire break completely for the money they should be better built but they do sound good

From: Josh: Tennessee 9/15/21

Comments: Very unique sound and disturbance which is what you want in a buzzbait "different". Have only had the right situation to throw it once so far but it caught a 4 on the first cast and got stolen on the second. Bought 2 more.

From: Paul: Mississippi 8/30/21

Comments: Great for a couple of weeks, then the blade rides up the wire on certain casts and has to be physically pushed back down. This is terrible because when this happens the retrieve is very chaotic and scares off fish. For the price I'd expect more, but I still throw it. Booya squelcher and this are my go to's

From: David: Mustang, OK 8/28/21

Comments: Broke this out of the package this weekend on a northern lake here in Canada.  Impressed with the commotion this buzzbait created!  Ended up with 3 largemouth in about 45 minutes - nothing huge - but definitely worked and am confident if a tub was lurking nearby, it would have tattooed this lure.  I should mention I was using the black color.

From: Jesse: Toronto, CA 7/8/21

Comments: Gets a lot of strikes but is very poorly made. Blades break & clicker falls off.

From: Unknown: 5/25/21

Comments: Out of the package this buzz bait has a unique squeaky sound witch is vary good the cupped head keeps it on top at slow speeds I have never been a big buzz bait guy been bass fishing 25 plus years and this year I have thrown this this buzz bait more then any other buzzer the last 25 years why because it produces as others mentioned they donât blow up on it but suck it in well worth the 16 bucks

From: Jack: Arkansas 5/20/21

Comments: I got the bait the hook point was flat no big deal I sharpened it. When I first use it I went to reel slower than my cheaper buzzbaits and it sunk so I speed up still sinking I bought this because mega bass hyped it up with the lipped mouth that raises the bait well that didn't work I have to reel twice as fast as my other buzzbaits that have larger trailers I didn't even put a trailer on it and I have to use it faster then them Over hyped fast use buzz bait that also doesnt track straight.

From: Garrett 4/16/21

Comments: Seems to have a more screeching sound which is unique. Tracks straighter than most buzzbaits and performs well. I have maybe a dozen fish on it and has held up well. Pricy for a buzzbait but seems worth the price so far.

From: BG: Foristell, MO 4/13/21

Comments: Casts well, love the sound, hookup ratio went way up after cutting half the tail off.

From:
Kenneth: Rock Hill 12/2/20

Comments:
These are nice but not that much nicer than other buzzbaits I own that don't cost quite as much. Probably won't buy another unless there's a really good sale

From: Unknown: 10/31/20

Comments: Excellent quality that I have learned to expect from megabass.

From: John: Tulsa, OK 10/28/20

Comments: Great buzz bait!! Gets on top fast.

From: Unknown 10/25/20

Comments:The buzzbait performed really well. It emits a sound different than my other buzzbaits. I caught several tournament bass on it, it's the real deal!

From: Unknown - 10/23/20

Comments: Nice bait! Only thing is that big blade really catches the wind!

From: Gmart: Albuquerque 10/10/20

Comments:Buy two of them best buzz bait around right now hands down. Is big money for buzz yeah but it's top quality and you get why you pay for actually with this one... love it and will buy more!

From: Noah: Illinois 10/2/20

Comments: One of the best put together buzzbaits I've owned! Great sound, runs true on top of the water, and decently priced.

From: Josh: West Virginia 9/26/20

Comments:Casts well. Big disturbance on top though. Seems to attract better than average bites. I've caught 2 over 5 on it so far. A good deal of thought went into the design of this buzzbait. Like it so far.

From: Wes: Jasper, AL 9/23/20

Comments:Great buzzbaits got the Hasu and Black mamba. Have caught multiple 4 and 5 pounders on them so far they have handled it well. The hooks are exceptional very very sharp! I would recommend this bait to anyone, only downside to this bait is the price. But I guess you gotta pay for quality.

From: Mario: Alabama 9/23/20

Comments:I'm really liking this buzzbait! This morning, I caught 19 largemouth between 7a-Noon on the Black Mamba color. You can keep it on top fairly slow, it runs true, and I didn't really have to adjust it much even after a couple of 4-pounders. It's not obnoxiously loud, but it makes a nice squeak and leaves a good bubble trail. I run a trailer hook with this buzzbait, especially with the long rubber tail, and I did notice today that several of my fish were stuck with the trailer hook. Very good hook-up ratio. The fish weren't blowing up really hard on it, They were just kind of rolling up and sucking it in. Not sure if that's a product of the bait, or just the mood of the fish today. Either way, I could see this as my go-to buzzer. Really nice bait!

From: Brian: Richmond, KY 9/12/20

Comments:Works really well. Plenty of noise. Stays on top of the water right off. Get u a frog rod 30 pound braid and a high speed reel and hang on!

From: Jessie: 9/2/20
