Overview

Molded after a hand carving by famed lure designed Yuki Ito, the Megabass Okashira Screwhead adds a flash and vibration that will supercharge your swimbait presentation. Equipped with an asymmetrical prop that features one blade longer than the other, the Megabass Okashira Screwhead is finely tuned to generate a unique pulsing presence, which draws in fish from a distance and triggers an aggressive feeding response. The hydrodynamic head design also features lanes that channel water under the chin to provide increased stability at all speeds and ensure your swimbait is always running true.

Perfect for those times when the fish are pressured or targeting small baitfish, the Megabass Okashira Screwhead is armed with a Super Slide hook that delivers superior hook penetration with the slightest pressure, even when using light tackle. To ensure trailers stay securely in place, the Megabass Okashira Screwhead is also fitted with a hand-tied keeper that holds trailers with glue like force. Finished with 3D eyes, molded gill plates, and a custom paint job, the Megabass Okashira Screwhead offers performance that outshines the competition.

Comments: These really catch bass, especially spotted bass which seem to be taking over my home lake. Wish they came in 3/16 or 1/4 oz size to pair with a bigger swimbait than Keitech 2.8. The stop that holds the propeller in place does slip back, but it is easy to slide back in place and is not a problem.

Comments: I fished them with the 2.8 keitechs. They were just alright, nothing really special for $2.33 a jig head. The keeper is absolutely useless honestly.

Comments: These are great little finesse swimbait heads. I have been rigging them with a 4" easy shiner, just cast up towards the shore and a nice reel back at a medium pace... Get's bit all day long! I would love to see Megabass release a larger version of this swimbait head for the larger paddle tail baits of the 4.8" variety.

Comments: Had these sitting in my box for a year without using them. Finally gave them a try today when nothing else was working. No crazy stories about a wide open bite here, but I did manage 2 fish on them. Overall, I was incredibly impressed with how well the head helped the bait swim perfectly level, even when retrieved extremely slow. Prop turns perfectly at low speeds. This jighead hasn't earned a permanent place in my box yet, but I'll definitely be giving it another try soon.

Comments: I like these, they have great action and keep getting hit. I use 3.5" swim senko and yum pulse for trailers. The propeller sits loose on the shaft, so even when it fouls up a bit it keeps working. It's a bit heavier than advertised - 1/8 weighs 4.5 grams, a good thing to me. The hooks are sharp but are on a smaller side, they look more 2/0 than 3/0 and I think could stand to be upsized. I am not a fan of the soft keeper, I'd much prefer if it had a double wire, I've also noticed that the thread started unwrapping on one of them, easy to fix, but once again would not happen with wire.

Comments: There's a good reason these are always sold out, they get bit everywhere. Caught more fish on these than any other baits this season. Pairs perfectly with the 3" spark shad and that's what I use it for but it also pairs well with an O.S.P. HP Minnow if you want a slightly different look. If you doubt the fishing catching power or these then go check out BigBassDreams on YouTube and look at the absolute monster smallies he put in the boat with these. You won't regret loading up your box with these!

Comments: Great Jig Head! works with just about any 3" plastic swimbait. slow to medium retrieve. great hook quality. wish they made little heavier version. the plastic spybait jighead.

Comments: Like the bait overall and can definitely catch large mouth on them. Main issue with them is the black rubber stopper below the blade slides down easily. I've started gluing them right out of the package and it could use a better wire bait keeper. Just purchased some more of them if that helps along with another custom brand to compare the differences. Would like a larger 4/0 version.

Comments: Used this yesterday for the first time looking for bass and found speckled trout instead. I used one head the entire time and caught more than 50 trout on it. I also caught 3 or 4 bass on the same head and it stood up great. The only thing I see with this after all the fish is the keeper on the back side of the blade has some play in it. I'll take that all day long. I started out with it rigged with a Big Bite 3.5" suicide shad and finished with a 3" Strike King menace grub. Both worked great. The grub keeps the bait higher in the water than the shad. Lastly, you do have to reel slow to keep it down. Great product and I highly recommend.

From: Shane: Crestview, FL 10/28/19

Comments: tried the 1/8oz rigged with a 4" slug for spotted sand bass. I found that in order to have the props spin, you need to rig the plastic a little farther back from the rubber stopper. this effectively left a little more than 2 1/2" of the slug behind the hook. because of this, I had to wait a little longer before setting the hook to avoid short strikes. I found the twitch / twitch / drop / slow reel & repeat method to work better than the straight retrieve as the head tends to get a little squirrelly. with a 2.8" keitech swing impact fat, the hook is penetrates at about the center of the hook slot after rigging. a slow retrieve worked best as again, the head began to roll a little too much at speed. hook seems stout so far.
