Catches Fish When Nothing Else WillI have been fishing inline spinners for over 50 years. I have had some minnow spinners in my tackle box for many years. But I rarely fished them. One day while shopping for more Mepp's, a conversation started with another customer. He told me the comet minnow was his go to lure. Rarely fishes anything else. I told him my go to is the Black Fury. So we both bought one of the lures the other recommended. Next time out I tied on the minnow. One after another I was catching fish. Not every cast. But I didn't cast to many times without a bite. I felt like such an idiot for having some of these in my tackle box and not using them. Now I have one rod with a comet minnow. And one with a black fury. When one slows down, I switch. Then when that slows down I move because I have caught all of them in that area. I'm dying to get some of the black fury minnows. One piece of advice on inline spinners. The reason I fish Mepp's 97% of the time is they twist your line a lot less than any other inline. Rooster Tails catch fish. But they are the worst inline spinners when it comes to line twist. I never use a swivel with Mepp's spinners and I get very little line twist. I have found the swivel is a strike limiter. You will get less bites if you use one. Do yourself a favor. Use Mepp's and don't use swivels and you will be amazed on the number of fish you catch.

Comments: Awesome for the shad spawn ! Nothing compares when matching the shad length and profile. Much better than a double willow spinnerbait. Think of it like a swimbait with a single spinning willow leaf blade on the front. Slow rolling through active baitfish produces explosive strikes. Many fish species devour this lure so keep a couple of spares on hand.
