Meticulously developed and fine-tuned by Hiroshi Nishine over a span of five years, the Nishine Lure Works BQ Frog comes loaded with innovative and specialized characteristics that make it a frog like no other. Sporting a short, wide profile that's purpose built for improved action and hooksets, the BQ Frog showcases an extremely refined appearance through its intricate detailing and premium finishes. At the rear, the BQ Frog features a unique vent-slit system that acts like a one-way valve, staying closed to seal water out and opening only when compressed to instantly release any water that finds its way inside the hollow body.

Designed with an emphasis on high hookup ratios, the BQ Frog utilizes a custom double-pronged hook developed by Hiroshi himself. Engineered with a curved shank for better power transfer during hooksets, the hook also comes fitted with low-centered zinc weights at the front and back. Thanks to the unique shape of the rear weight, the BQ Frog can be easily configured in two different ways. With a simple pull, the rear of the bait can be slid toward the front of the weight to expose slightly more hook clearance for better hookups when fishing in open water or sparse cover. When targeting bass in heavier cover, the body can then be pinched and pushed over the rear of the weight to minimize the gap between body and hook for a more weedless presentation.

Connected to the hook by a split ring for reduced leverage while battling big bass, the upturned angle of the line tie helps the BQ Frog achieve its sharp, easy-to-master walking action. Furthermore, the eye is thread-wrapped and glued for a stronger bond to the front of the frog body.
