KeeperLove the hooks but would love to see this hook with a keeper of some sort so you can thread a bait up the shank of hook ,and the bait stay there. Sometimes with some of the baits I use for drop shotting ,they perform the best being threading onto the hook shank, Im not a big fan of super glueing baits to hooks.

Nishine lure works DS drop shot hooksThese hooks are top shelve drop shot hooks. These hooks also work great for a home made hover strolling hook. I tie a lunker city 1/32 oz. nail weight tying it down with fly tying thread. These hook work well on three and four inch baits. I extend the point past the eye to lock in place. I also use Sally Hansens hard as nails on the thread to lock in place. Give them a try if you are a " Do it your self type person".

Worth learning the Snell knotA drop shot hook has a fairly complex set of functions to fulfill. These do so with rare perfection.

Great alternative DS hookI started using these last summer and became a fan. I’ve used the Spearpoint brand for awhile and still do when I’m nose hooking smaller baits. But when the waters stained, the fish are seeing a lot of drop shot presentations or when I’m fishing smallmouth…I use these. They are great for wacky rigging a 4-6” straight worms because the smell knot keeps the hook horizontal. For smallmouth, the extra length of the shank on this hook allow you to get a little extra bite when you thread the bait. Not the best hook for every drop shot application…but good enough that it has a spot in my finesse arsenal for a good chunk of the year.

Best drop shot hookThis is the best drop hook I have ever used and I have tried most of them. It seems as though I lose a few bigger fish every year because regular drop shot hooks slip across the fish’s hard jaw. I believe The longer shank with the Nishine hooks prevents some of those loses. I wish TW would carry the other sizes that Nishine manufacturers.
