Overview
Crafted by world-renowned lure designed, Hiroshi Nishine, the Nishine Lure Works Erie 95SD Jerkbait offers innovative features and an incredible fish catching action that will test the limits of your livewell. To start things off, the Nishine Lure Works Erie 95SD Jerkbait is molded with a thin flat sided profile to provide a highly realistic baitfish imitation and tons of flash when twitched through the water column. It also features a unique center of gravity system in the belly with a fixed molded weight, which helps generate an extremely lifelike darting and swimming action with the slightest twitch from the rod tip. A free moving tungsten ball inside the bait slides to the tail for increased casting distance then rolls forward into the head and locks in place at the beginning of the retrieve to provide an enticing rattle as well.
Not only does the Nishine Lure Works Erie 95SD Jerkbait deliver an unmatched action, it is also outfitted with top quality hardware including stainless steel split rings for added durability, a Nishine original snap, and Japanese made Ichikawa Kamakiri treble hooks that provide superior hook setting performance. Complete with downward looking 3D eyes, molded gill plates, and a textured scale finish for an added level of realism, the Nishine Lure Works Erie 95SD Jerkbait is available in multiple custom painted colors that will match the forage on any body of water.

Comments: Hiroshi Nishine doesn't make bad lures, period. This is one of my favourite profiles for shallow, cold-water lake trout. Looks like a smelt, runs loud, gets bit. Haven't tried it for bass yet. Only drawback is a slightly delicate finish. One laker and it was already showing some tooth rash.

Comments: First cast ever with this bait caught me a 31x16 Lake Trout. (Straight retrieve). Has excellent action when jerked as well. Definitely a new favorite.

Comments: This bait very nicely fills a niche. There are a couple of situations when a floating jerkbait, within this size range, is extremely productive. I mostly fish suspending jerkbaits, but there are some periods in the fall when they just don't elicit the strikes that ones do that begin to rise on the pause. Then, there are those summer conditions when bass don't quite commit to topwaters, but destroy jerkbaits that are twitched to just below the surface. While I don't throw these a huge amount, they are one of the four or five baits in my box that most often slams-em when conditions have been tough. These have a bit of a weird posture at rest in comparison to really good suspending jerkbaits, so I don't use them when bass are readily hitting the suspending ones. There are very few floating jerkbaits in this size range that cast well on the same baitcasting outfits used for larger jerkbaits. This Nishine really flies, even with some breeze. If you gave up trying to throw floating raps in the below four inch range, these will change your mind on what is possible. The hooks are perhaps the best you can buy. The finish is amazing, and durable.
