Comments: I have had the opportunity to use many jig heads, and the Lure Works Smelthead Jig Head has become one of my favorites. This jig head is specially designed with a smelt-like shape that is very attractive to hungry fish, bass and walleye are two of my favorites that I fish for One of the standout features of this jig head is the Gamakatsu O'Shaugnessy hooks that it comes equipped with.. As a result, they can significantly improve your landing percentage, particularly when fishing for bigger fish that put up a fight. I like to pair the Lure Works Smelthead Jig Head with a Megabass Hazedong 4" swimbait or the Net Baits Spanky 3.25 when fishing in clear water. I prefer to use a slow and steady retrieve with occasional pauses to let the swimbait sink and swim naturally, which often triggers strikes from hungry fish. Overall, I highly recommend the Lure Works Smelthead Jig Head to any clear water fisherman looking for an efficient and effective jig head to target bass and walleye. The Gamakatsu O'Shaugnessy hooks are an added advantage that can boost your landing percentage, and when paired with a Megabass Hazedong 4" swimbait or the Net baits little Spanky 3.25, it can make for an unbeatable combination ..

Comments: This jig head 2/0, 3/7 oz, balances well with a 4 1/2 inch swimbait. The bait rises and falls with a natural swimming action and produces a hard tail thump. It has a horizontal swimming action which should make it an excellent Damiki style bait as well as bouncing off the bottom. Sturdy sharp hook also.

Comments: I have been using these heads for a few years now. They are deadly on all game fish from trout to bass. They shine rigged on a Kietech easy shiner. Use the 2/0 hook for the 3 to 4.5 and the 4/0 hook on the 5 inch matching the weights to the depth of water you want or fish. Cut off a small piece of the easy shiner head to match the size to the smelt head. Adding a small dab of crazy glue will keep them together longer. They look and swims amazing. When the bite is slow and you have clear water this thing gets bit. You don’t need a lot as you shouldn’t loose them.
