Following the footsteps of the famous big game saltwater popper, the Nomad Design Chug Norris Popper is now available in a compact size that perfect for freshwater fishing. Featuring an oversized cupped mouth and tapered tail design, the Chug Norris Popper produces a generous chugging and splashing action that calls fish to the surface and triggers explosive bites. The patented Autotune System also allows it to “walk the dog” and create a subtle side to side movement, which is often what makes tight lipped fish bite when other baits won’t work.
Built for handling aggressive and toothy gamefish, the Chug Norris Popper is made from a special formula of high density ABS plastic that is simply much stronger than standard production plastics lures are made from, giving you much better durability and longer lure life. Triple Shield Protection also provides three final coats of super tough clear resin to the outside of the bait to protect the highly detailed paint jobs from damage. Comments: I really wanted to like this bait but it has a problem for me anyway. The line tie. Where you tie your line is 1/16 thick stainless steel flat stock. It is inserted into the head and it must be what would give you the walk the dog action. No way am I tying ten pound mono to this arrangement. I put on a split ring and killed any of it's fish catching qualities. I'll have to try a lighter oval next but still...It's not as good as a stock chug bug from 30 years ago other than it's pretty.
