Overview

The fastest and easiest device for attaching your lure to your fishing line, the Bill Norman Speed Clips are equipped with a circular design that allows your lure to run true and produce its intended action. Stainless steel and stronger than other snaps, the Bill Norman Speed Clips are also great with braided lines, and you only need one hand to attach them.

Will fail in heavy currentI've used these clips for 20+ years. They don't seem as strong at the split as they use to be. Takes minimal pressure to open it up at the connection with your finger nail. Material seems weaker. They're ok I guess for straight retrieves, but I've lost 4 jerkbats in a matter of months in heavy current with or without a fish on. I'll tie direct and replace splice rings with ovals. Better connection and only takes a 10 seconds to tie back up.

Comments: A snap will always be a snap. After catching a few fish the snap fails and my megabass jerkbait went flying. I was using 8lb maxima line. Probably a defective product but just beware that a snap will fail no matter how good they are.

Comments: These are great I smash them EVERY time I go out. I also paint lures and only use Norman cranks

Comments: If you attach them correctly they will never fail and they are very easy to attach. I don't use o rings anymore. These are much easier and more versatile. I highly recommend them.

Comments: I have used these for years on all my crank baits, jerk baits some top waters never had one fail or break or lose a fish or lure....as long as I make sure I have them fully attached they have been perfect in my experience

Comments: I've had great success using these Norman clips over the years with crankbaits, However this last season I've had three lures work there way off the clip. I've also noticed the coloration of the steel seems to have less shine than the older ones. Makes me wonder as well if they changed something.

Comments: I have had many Speed clips throw off a lure and a couple with fish on..If the lure spins or a fish twists just right, the clip opens up and a lure or fish is lost.  I used these clips for years, and it is as if the quality control is off on the strength of the clip.

Comments: These are the best clips you can buy. They are a little expensive but physically impossible to fail if installed correctly. No way this thing is going to bend or break. I use a swivel with a Norman speed clip all the time. I've busted the swivel apart on a snag before but no way this speed clip is going to fail.

Comments: Was excited to try out the Norman Speed clips for fall bass fishing after hearing good reviews online. Unfortunately the clip failed on my second cast losing my brand new BBZ1 Shad. The Speed Clip was still connected to my line. No twist or bend to the clips metal connection. I switched to the Owner All Purpose Snaps and have had much better luck.
