Overview

Crafted with the latest hook technology, the Owner STX-38 Zo Wire Treble Hooks are made to greatly improve hook setting performance. Featuring Owner’s exclusive Zo Wire construction, the STX-38 Treble Hooks feature a 20% smaller diameter than standard steel wire for unmatched strength and unbeatable hook penetration. Zo wire is also much harder and denser than standard steel, so the Super Need Point hook points stay sharper for a longer period of time.

Ideal for replacing the stock treble hooks on a wide variety of hardbaits, the STX-38 Treble Hooks are crafted with a deep V-bend that eliminates leverage for the fish to throw the hook. A shadow grey finish also provides a slick coating, which increases hook penetration and reduces light reflections to help camouflage the hooks as well. Available in a wide range of popular sizes, the Owner STX-38 Zo Wire Treble Hooks will help dramatically increase the amount of fish you hook and land.

Comments: I tried these on some glides instead of my normal hooks (st36) and sadly I'm not too impressed. These are definitely super sharp as are all owners but they seemed way too brittle. I broke several of them on fish. They may be fine for finesse applications with a soft rod and light line but definitely not hooks I trust. Not worth the higher price point imo.

Comments: These hooks are very very sharp. I'm super impressed. However, side by side with the standard ST 36, they're the same to me as far as sharpness. If you like that slight EWG bend, these are hands down the hook to get. I put them on half my topwaters, and ST 36's on the other half, identical lures, just so I can be as scientific as possible. EWG aside, I would save $5.50 and go with the ST 36's. No regrets at all though. I'm 100% sure they will be worth the money come spring.

Comments: These hooks are the pinnacle of sharpness. I'm not saying these will land 100% but I'm getting about 90% hook up ratio. Every 20 fish or so I'll have maybe one or two shake me off but they still got hooked initially. Take it with a grain of salt I guess, because everyone fishes differently from the hook set to drag settings to playing with the fish or horsing them in. I'm almost entirely owner at this point. Stx 38 zo wire on all my jerkbait and top water. For you specific guys out there #6 or #5 for vision 110 to still get good action just depends on what action you want. But for duo realis, jackall, lucky craft, Rapala, etc I use #5. #6 for most top waters with the exception of smaller poppers. Though like another review said wish there was a short shank variation. Good luck and tight lines!

Comments: These hooks are pricey but a game changer. I got sick of the Megabass deep six hooks breaking on spotted bay bass so I switched out to these hooks. Scary sharp, No loss fish, no broken hooks and great hook up ratio.

Comments: Tired of losing 5 out of 10 bass on lipless cranks? Step your game up to these and land 9 out of 10 bass. It's the perfect blend of a standard treble and a short shank wide gap. The sharpness of these trebles are unbelievable. If they barely touch your skin they stick and they stay sharp fish after fish. Well worth the price!

Comments: I love owner hooks and I tend to replace all my stock hooks with various types of owner hooks.  Zo wire hooks came out and I figured I would try them given that they are described as being very sharp and strong.  I am also one of those people who is sometimes suckered into thinking that higher priced items are better.   They are certainly very sharp and good quality. I have to put this out there though to the community: is anyone else consistently losing fish on these hooks?  I have put these hooks on various lures from jerk baits to swim baits to crank baits. I seem to have more fish coming off with these hooks than with other types of owner hooks. With that being said, I cannot recommend these hooks over other less expensive owner treble hooks.

From: Unknown: Spokane, WA 6/13/19

Comments: As good of a treble hook as you'll find, but they're obviously very expensive, so unless there's money on the line, it's not necessary.

From: Kyle - Illinois 1/19/19

Comments: Amazing hooks, stickiest hooks I have used. I use them on my Megabass Vision 110 jerkbaits and the work amazingly!!

From: Mark: Alabama 12/11/17

Comments: These are the sharpest hooks know to mankind. When its in the low 20s and your jerk bait fishing you do not want to miss a bass when they swipe at your bait, these solve that problem. If they touch your bait in anyway they are caught. I recently purchased enough from TWH to replace the hooks on 30 jerk baits. Fingers sore for a week, but worth it.
