Performance Fishing Innovations Quad Hover Rig
Overview
Not your typical umbrella rig, the Performance Fishing Innovations Quad Hover Rig is built using minimal hardware for a very slow sink rate that’s ideal for hover and mid-strolling with forward-facing sonar. Assembled using clear 150-pound Seaguar Blue Label Fluorocarbon, the Quad Hover Rig sports a center arm and a proprietary Hub and Spoke Armature that enables the four outside arms to freely spin around an axis like a helicopter’s rotor. Equipped with robust double crimps, the Quad Hover Rig is also adorned with four small #3 willow-leaf blades mounted to handmade 50-pound fluorocarbon clevis-style swivels, allowing for a uniquely wide blade rotation producing increased thump and lift.
Delivering a more natural, unrestricted movement compared to the average wire umbrella rig, the flexibility of the Quad Hover Rig provides a greatly enhanced swimming, pulsing, undulating action that closely emulates a school of baitfish. With an unrigged weight of just 1/4 ounce, the Quad Hover Rig can be paired with everything from a small swimbait for use on a finesse spinning rod to a much larger swimbait or hardbait for fishing on a heavy stick. From blind casting to targeting suspended bass on your sonar screen, the Performance Fishing Innovations Quad Hover Rig provides the refinement and versatility that gets results.
*If using braid, it is recommended to use a snap, swivel, or ring to attach the rig instead of tying directly to the fluorocarbon line tie.
