Phenix Glass Crankbait Casting Rods Blue
Overview
Featuring 100% glass blanks that are still incredibly lightweight, the Phenix Blue Glass Crankbait Casting Rods offer the attributes and features that discerning crankbait anglers will appreciate. Their moderate actions and tapers allow bass to inhale the lure before you set the hook for surer hooksets, and once the fish is on they provide the proper amount of play to keep the treble hooks locked in. Also offering the extra long casting ability you need for fishing a crankbait, they load up well even with lighter baits, so you can cover more water and get your bait down to its desired depth. Offering a classic, timeless look as well with their brown blanks and customized cork handles, the Phenix Blue Glass Crankbait Casting Rods deliver the actions and performance that bass anglers can appreciate.

Comments: I purchased the 7'4 for throwing deep cranks and this rod did not dissappoint! I have it paired with a Lew's BB1 and can cast baits a very long way giving you the time to get the crank down to the required depth. The tip is very nice, soft but not too soft. The quality and overall look of the rod is first class, I will pick up the 7 ft for throwing square bills when summer gets here.

Comments: Wow what a great rod, I'm speechless. This is such a light rod knowing that it's glass. This is my first phenix and glass rod. I went to walmart and I saw the Skeet Reese S-glass cranbait rod after I have ordered this rod. I grabbed the SR rod and it was so heavy, I started having doubts about the Phenix rod but it's so much lighter. It's paired up with my Tatula baitcaster, the combo looks so awesome. Also the taper of the rod is fantastic , going to local fishing stores and checking out different crankbait rods, I felt that the rods they had on stock had a very stiff taper but the taper on this rod is awesome very soft its actually a moderate taper. I have no regrets buying this rod. Thanks TW and Phenix

Comments: Pros: Lightest fiberglass rod you can find. Awesome diameter and grip. Really flexes and has a lot of give in the blank. Nice finish and all eyes are double footed which I like.
Cons: Hook keeper at bottom handle is dumb. The glue they use on this thing is horrible. I had to super glue the winding check twice because tightening it barely causes it to separate the metallic piece from the plastic so you couldn't tighten the reel down. Really lame.

Comments: Got the 7'9'' version. This is my first fiberglass rod and I must say, it is a little bit on the heavy side but when it comes to glass what else do you expect? Great rod for DEEP cranking (20-30 ft) and the extra length lets you get even deeper if you "KNEEL AND REEL". 7/10

Comments: I am thinking about getting a few of these rods and was wondering how they feel in terms of weight? Some glass rods are very heavy. Thanks for your input!

Comments: I bought this rod for myself for Christmas and after putting it through the paces so far this year, it has more than exceded my expectations. I got the 7'9" model. I have been a Loomis fan all my life, but this is by far the best rod for deep cranks I have used. Not to mention, it has a beautiful finish on it. This rod has me looking to buy more Phenix rods now. Great product!!
